AT&T
No reception at all, at any time indoors. Nothing on the roof either.

Inside my building there is no reception at all from my cell phone. I have to go outside my building to get reception. However, once outside, I have no problems with calling anybody.

Zero reception. Zip. I can't even select an alternative network even though the phone reports to have several available (AT&T, Cingular, etc).

Worse reception ever. It's alright in some streets. However, when I'm in a building or basement, there is 1 bar to no reception.

Service is super-spotty and changes from 5 bars to zero, sometimes in the same spot, inside or out. I am starting to think I need a phone with a HUGE antenna and that everything will be fine. I sometimes go to Europe so GSM is very useful, plus I think CDMA is a dying technology. GSM seems to be always growing. Yet why tolerate crappy service for an ideal. It may be obvious but I am considering switching to Verizon Wireless in the next week. But sadly, their phones are downright terrible. Nothingthey have save maybe the weak Motorola V710 jazzes me at all. Ugh. I wish I knew if it was just my phone, or their service.

Reception for Verizon Wireless in Hoboken is strong at times, non-existant at others. It's simply not reliable, but then again, I can't think of a single carrier that is. Verizon is still the choice of Hoboken, but it still has a long way to go.

No reception at all most of the time, indoors or out. I have to walk to the Promenade to get mediocre reception.

Good reception in apartment and on street. Few dropped calls.

Half of my block is dead. The other is very very faint. Stay away from T-Mobile in Brooklyn's Cobble Hill!

The network comes in and out. I can sometimes talk on the phone near a window, but sometimes not. What good is that?
