AT&T Wireless (GSM)

The area along Rockland Ave from Manor Road to Ricmond Avenue has NO Reception at all using my cell phone. My older Nokia had some (low) reception in the area perhaps due to a different technology.

AT&T GSM very poor in Staten Island in general, but near the Bayonne Bridge in particular. At this intersection (where my office is) no reception whatsoever.

GSM gets about an average reception in most areas of Central NJ and there are Dead Zones in parts of Old Bridge, Spotswood and East Brunswick. This is a problem that many of the cellular companies face.

Before September 11 it was very good than it became really really bad with no service even outside. Last couple months it improved and I now get service outside for the most part with the occasional "emergency calls only" (I never really understood that, the service is good to make emergency calls but not regular ones, go figure). In my house I get decent service but sometimes choppy if i don't go by the window on the top floor and no service unless i'm by a window in my lower floor.

It's only 50-50 that you will get a signal indoors and when you do reception is very poor. reception is slightly better outdoors, but still poor.
