I cannot use my phone in my home and have very poor service in the 11205. ATT was much better in this area and am considering switching back.

Switched to Verizon from T-Mobile in Dec 2013. I only average one bar reception in my 2 bedroom apartment. Many calls go straight to voicemail. Very frustrating. $160 / month for 2 lines of poor reception. Never had these issues with T-Mobile.

It is a disaster. There is only one small corner in my apartment that has reception and not always. I use my phone for business a lot. I have to call in at 5 or 6 times for my conference calls.

I always enjoyed being a MetroPCS customer however, now I moved to a new apt and all of a sudden, even though I have 4G internet and sometimes up to 4 bars I can not make phone calls or send / receive texts unless I walk at least a block away from the 6th st. I called the customer service and they asked me to update my software, which I thought would help, but it did not. Is there anyone else having this problem or is it just my phone?

I get 0 to 2 circles (bars) in the apartment and 2 to 3 outside. I have a Zboost cellular signal booster indoors. With the booster off, I'm pretty much in a dead zone in my apartment. I changed from AT&T to T-Mobile today. Maybe one of my more serious mistakes!

When I moved here (Fort Greene) in January 2014, I was appalled at how terrible my cell phone service was (and still is). I called Verizon, visited two of their stores for guidance (very nice employees, btw), and even installed one of those cheap "Generation X Plus" internal antenna boosters (on the advice of one of those employees). None of it made a bit of difference. I can almost never make an outgoing call, and all calls sound garbled. After anywhere between 1 and 3 minutes, the phone disconnects. It's not just bad in my apartment - it's bad everywhere! Basically, I'm reduced to using Google Voice when I want to call out, and if someone calls me at home, I tell them to hang up so I can call them back. Outside my home, I just cross my fingers when I get a call.

I have VIrginMobile which is in the Sprint network. Since before December I have had almost not service on my phone while in Brooklyn - which is where I live and obviously where I need service. No internet, dropped calls, texts do not get sent or are delayed - it's constant. They admit that there is not service due to "tower issues" that they 're supposedly working on (which no projected completion date) and they knowingly sell a service which they KNOW does not work. I'm sure there has to be some sort of law against this. I'm going to start researching and urge everyone else to make complaints with appropriate authorities, as the company itself is non-responsive and obviously has no intention to fix its service.
