AT&T
Had Verison for years and put up with poor reception where I needed it. Have had ATT for 2 years and now I get it at work Osewgo at Pmile point, Pennellville and Woodgate, NY. Now aren,t we supposed to buy our carrier baced on where WE WANT it, not on mation wide, or Metropolitan use? Make sure you do the reserch and use others phones before you pick your carrier. All the rest os Bu--S--it.

I have lived here for 20 years and have never been able to get cell reception from any carrier we have had service with. I have never been able to get an answer why from any customer service rep. Very frustrating!

I am still sharing a 2nd cell line with a family member in Orlando who has T-Mobile. Since I have a wireless router, I purchased the Nokia 6301 so I could talk to her. The wireless part of the phone does allow me to make and receive calls, by connecting to my home network's wireless router. But it's range is extremely limited and is affected by walls, lights, etc. The router is a WRT54G-S and it works fine. The phone, on the other hand, seems to be using something more limited. The family member has been with T-Mobile for 4 years and will finally switch to another carrier when the current contract expires. The coverage in Florida is fine if you're in a major city, but if you hop on a thruway and travel somewhere, expect problems. We wonder why T-Mobile isn't expanding more?

I can get 3-5 bars at home but poor reception going thru West Monroe on Rt 49. Friends with different providers get very poor or no signal at my home.

Even though I only get 1 to 2 bars, the LG VX8300 is able to allow normal conversations inside and outdoors. The only problems I have had, have been with interference from fluorescent lights while I am walking around the house. So I usually sit down away from fluorescents and it's fine. We are upgrading to the new LG Chocolates (8550 models, not the old model) and I will get to test the reception tomorrow, when the phones arrive via FedEx. Was with Cingular 3-4 years ago and couldn't receive anything out here by the lake. Same with T-Mobile. I had a Samsung T509 and was on T-Mobile's Family Share plan with a family member who lived in Orlando. Could never talk to her inside, and only sporadically outdoors - depending on weather conditions. I always wondered what a clamshell phone with an external antenna would have received.

Reception is very poor all through Altmar. At my home, reception auto switches from the Sprint Network to roaming. Can sometimes receive one bar at home. With Sprint, I receive between 0 and 2 bars when traveling between Altmar and Oswego on either Route 3 or 104.

Have been living here for 1 year now and cannot get reception with Cingular or Verizon. If I travel a few miles down the road I can get a signal. I can get a call to last about 30 seconds before the signal is lost. Very disappointing in this area. I am getting ready to switch providers but I don't think there will be reception from any of the providers.

Barely ever lose reception and I usually have a good 5 bars or so. However, back roads around here are horrible with reception.

Don't get why people here complain about Nextel. Works great!
