I can't use my Verizon phone at all in my house. I have never had this problem anywhere with Verizon, but up and down Montgomery Ave, the service is terrible

T-Mobile

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Cheltenham Ave. | Willow Grove Ave., Glenside, PA 19038 |

Had switched to T-Mobile 4+ yrs ago due to having no reception in my house, having dropped calls, getting voice mail hours after they had been left and basically poor performance of the Verizon network in my specific area, especially since the houses are from the late 40's and all poured concrete. Switched to T-Mobile and am always at 5 bars, never had a dropped call and the customer service has been awesome! Not sure how ATT, Cingular and other rate in my area, but I honestly needed to have the reception inside the house, as it is no good to be required to take a call outside in the middle of the winter or the sweltering heat of the summer.

Verizon

0 Out of 5 (0 stars) | Melrose Park Train Station | Valley Rd.& Mill Rd, Melrose Park, PA, Philadelphia, PA 19126 |

Along this major SEPTA regional railway corridor, there is absolutely NO reception of any kind in and around this major train station. Thousands of passengers ride through this area daily. Interestingly, there are HUGE tower / transmitters atop an apartment building adjacent to the station,... obviously for another carrier! This has been for at least four years now. This is the ONLY area of its kind that I have ever seen that is COMPLETELY dead on the Verizon network.

AT&T

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | S 45th St. | Spruce, Philadelphia, PA 19104 |

I get 0 bars inside my apartment (2nd floor). Outside, I get 5 bars immediately. Other than inside my apartment, I've had excellent signal. That said, my iphone toting friend is frequently dropped off the network while we were walking and driving in the University City area!

Sprint

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Flourtown CC | Chestnut, Flourtown, PA 19031 |

Map doesn't show Sprint towers in this area. Actually Sprint is very strong and all through Philadelphia. Data users get 4G all around here. Same with the data card and Clear Wireless connection which uses Sprint 4G when available. I had ATT... dropped signals. I had Verizon... really don't like the voicemail system. It says "Unavailable" when the network is busy and doesn't take a message. I had T-Mobil... didn't work through central PA or inside in Boston suburbs. Companies I work with use Sprint so calls to and from contacts are mostly free.

Verizon

Verizon is by far the best network in this area. AT&T sucks! I had so many dropped calls and horrible call quality. Verizon rocks here.

AT&T

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Cira Centre - 2929 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19104 |

While I usually have 5 bars, I have rated the reception poor because of the poor call quality I receive at this location. It is my office, which is pretty high up in the Cira Centre. While my phone almost always shows full strength signal, it is very difficult to reliably make or receive calls. On many calls, the voice breaks up and at other times, I have trouble getting a call to go through. Most problems seem to be correlated with lunch time and the 4 pm - 6 pm. Definitely frustrating to not be able to reliably use my cell phone at the office.

AT&T

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Radwyn Apts (Landover Rd. Side), Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 |

I switched to AT&T from Sprint when we moved into the Radwyn Apartments. With Sprint, I could not make a call from inside our apartment unless I was roaming. With AT&T, I usually have no problems at all making and receiving calls. The only weird thing is that the bars on my phone regularly go up and down from one bar to full strength. I am guessing the bars go down when network usage is high, but I am not sure. Regardless of the strength, I almost always seem to be able to make a call without any problems - once in awhile a dropped call or some minor static, but that is not the norm. Overall, I am satisfied with AT&T - much better than Sprint for the Landover Rd. side of the Radwyn Apartments in Bryn Mawr.
