Had T-Mobile for a week. The service has been great.

Sprint is selling LTE phone to customers in Philly and they don't have LTE service here for another year or more. Tried to tell me the phone will work on 3G and please still pay for premium data. Adios Sprint.. Contract is up and I'm going with AT&T

I went from AT&T to Sprint, worst decision ever made, I have completely no service in this area, unless they fix this issue I will not stay with Sprint or recommend it to anyone

I've been with Sprint since 2000 and never had problems with my cell service, either in Philly, or after I moved to NJ. Of course every single plan has a dropped call here or ther but you've gotta take into consideration that foresty areas, high rise areas or remote areas aren't going to have a 100% perfect signal since they do have interference with the cell towers. However, I've been in center city Philly, live in an area now where there are tons of trees but the occassional dropped call doesn't deter me from Sprint. They have great service, good customer service, everything you're paying for you're well aware of UP FRONT and when they say UNLIMITED data for smart phone plans, they mean it. I've never received a bill for overages on data with Sprint and I'm using my phone's internet 24 / 7. With all the nightmares I hear from friends of data overages and the costs associated with higher data allowance plans I WILL NEVER SWITCH CARRIERS. Thank you Sprint, you're dependable and reliable and am extremely happy with the plans you offer your customers. :)

Service stinks ! 7yrs ago I had T-Mobile and left. I pick up Tmo 7 yrs later and customer service is still giving the same answer. “ We at Tmo are aware of the prob are Tech team is working on issue but their is no time frame yet until the prob is fixed ” they don't care about their customers.

Throughout this area, my reception is poor, often reverting to 1x coverage for data. Dropped calls or dropped sound during a call is common. I'm quite disappointed in the coverage in our area.

I get zero reception inside my house. This is a known problem with TMobile. When I called customer service they said they are aware of the problem but have no time estimate on when it will be corrected. In the mean time I can stand outside to make my calls. What! I moved here from Glenside (less than three miles away) were reception was fine. I believe TMobile purposely reduces the signal in some areas in order to market their pay by the month cell phone booster. It is not in their best interest to fix the signal if they can generate additional revenue by offering the 'booster' package. Why should I have to pay more for what I should already have.

If there was an option between Poor and Below Average, I would've gone for that.. Ideall its not even 2.. its 1.5.. I would not advice anyone one to go for T-mobile..

Haven't had reception in my house for past 6 days. T-Mobile tells me a town went down. I will wait 1 more day and then I'm out of this contract.

calls drop off around lunchtime no 4g signaleither. no service at times between mid night &6am. calls drop off at times on this android 4g phone. people often can't hear me speaking to them

Inside the house reception with ATT its poor. I cant connect to internet, 4G is joke. before ATT I was with Sprint. I cant wait go back to Sprint.

I had T-Mobile for a year and they always dropped my calls. I had no reception in my house and the bars were always low. I don't like T-Mobile anymore due to lack of service.

I was with Cingular. Sure I had 3600 rollover minutes, my phone didn't work in my house. Every call had to be done standing on my outside steps. Switched to Sprint--Perfection, perfect on all floors of my house, perfect going down my cement basement steps. Works everywhere, inside and out. Contract will be up soon. I'm not paying for their $100.00 "everything" plan. Will probaly switch to Virgin Mobile. They use Spirit services and that "everything" plan is under Fifty bucks. Go figure.

I used to get three bars in my house. For the past few weeks I get no reception in my house, on the street or anywhere within a few blocks. Occasionally the phone jumps up to two bars but as soon as you try to make a call it drops down to zero and says call failed. My friend has Cingular and gets 4 bars in my concrete basement. When you call they claim that their map says you have coverage. I'm giving them another week to fix whatever the hell it is that they screwed up this month. If its not fixed by then I'm switching to Cingular.

Great reception usually during the day, after 5 or 6 no reception, dropped calls, calls fail or I get someone else then the intended person I tried calling. Was told by T-Mobile my signal gets scattered and should turn my phone off and then on so that the closest tower will pick up my signal. Nope, I believe the problem is congestion, too many people using cells during the evening hours. I pretty fed up with this losey service and hope T-Mobile will reimburse my lack of use and be held responsible for any emergency that I can not make a call for. NOT HAPPY!

For the past 2 years I have not got any reception indoors in any home on the 800 block of brighton st., right near Whitaker Ave. I cannot make or receive calls anyone in my house or the neighbors. I can ONLY make and receive calls outside ON THE STREET, and even with that I only get 2 bars. I can barely make / receive calls near a window. T-Mobile is crippled in this area. My step dad has Cingular and he has reception everywhere in the house, even in the basement! I can't wait to get rid of T-Mobile and move to Cingular, thanks T-Mobile for your worthless network! I have complained to T-Mobile numerous times but they claim to have "3 bars" on their coverage map, its a lie.

t mobile all you get is excuse after excuse. sales person from store finally stated that there are problems with the service due to fox chase cancer center.

To all you people who think T-Mobile is so bad: They're just started a few years ago and have been improving a lot since then. I've had them since the beginning and now their service works just about everywhere. They're even starting to roll out a 3G network.

Very poor reception along Frankford Ave corridor, especially from Tyson Ave to Harbison Ave. Little or no reception indoors.

Worked fine until Nov. of 05 and then I would get a continuosly fluctuating signal and almost any call over 5 min. would be dropped. Sometimes I get bars, but it won't let me make a call. T-Mobile gave me an excuse about aligning towers to fix it, but nothing has changed in months.

Only one dead spot on Germantown Av. in Mt. Airy. Great phone. Too bad they don't offer this one anymore.

Reception is barely at 1 bar on Melrose Ave as well as Windsor, Stratford and Mosely.

Nextel

I bought a Nextel for all thier cool features such as walkie talkie and insta-messaging, but now regret ever getting involved with this compnay thier reception is non-exsistant and I drop at least 5 calls a day! Take my Advice and Aviod at all risks!

If I want to make calls in my house, I would have to stand up, sit straight, or I would get dropped. I put my phone in the living room and sometimes it won't ring when people call, then I would get a voice msg indicator from them because later. I can't even make calls outside in my back yard, the only place where calls don't get dropped on a regular basis is my front porch. Besides that, it works excellent everywhere else I have used it in Phila

I have never had below 4 bars since I got verzion except for some spots in center city.

Nextel is the worst carrier ever. I do not get reception anywhere! I work in Center City and can not get service until I'm on 76 or 95, and then I continuously drop calls. If you are looking for a carrier in Philadelphia or anywhere in the US save your money and DO NOT go with Nextel.

AT&T Wireless (TDMA)

i had contract with att, now my phone is not work have no service for three days, Cingular refuse to void my contract. I have been told either begin a new contract or shop e-bay. this is totally crazy, I will never sign with Cingular on a contract, I rather pay the penalty fee than to have lousy customer services
