Verizon in DC is garbage, T-Mobile is tops in this town, I'm not sure about AT&T or Sprint. I've been a customer of Verizon since 2000 and they started out strong, were excellent for a long while and they focused on coverage and it was great, but then they never upgraded their towers or utilized or purchased bands and we're stuck with garbage service for data, soooo sloooow. I'm lucky if I get 1mbps speeds, usually it's around.5, although uploads are in the 5mbps+ range, so it's obvious verizon's oversold and hasn't upgraded anything in years. My friends with T-Mobile are experiencing data speeds of 15 mbps or more, much, much more even, while my phone keeps going from slow as hell lte to even slower 3g, even news sites take like a full minute to load, if they load at all, lots of refreshing and airplane mode cycling with verizon. I'm ready to jump ship.

I've worked in 2 different locations in Foggy Bottom (2-5 blocks from the White House) and Verizon service has been horrible in both. Now I have to walk 2 blocks away from the building to pick up a signal.

Little to no reception always. I cant even send a two letter text while my co-workers can stand on either side of me (AT&T, Verizon) and stream videos. Sprint is HORRIBLE in DC.

Verizon cellular signal is the weakest. I compared with other providers, found T- Mobile is the best. Called the Verizon Tech support, nothing been done.

Quality of service is a joke! Poor reception, dropped calls, delayed text, you name it... I once stood inside the Sprint store on 18th and M next to my coworker who has AT&T and they had better reception than I did... can't get any worse!

My Samsung Galaxy S4 is basically is nearly useless in my office. I get approximately 1-2 bars even when at a window. Texts sometimes don't go through at all, and forget about picture texts. Voice reception is also quite bad. Sad, because Verizon was great when I lived in NYC.

Sprint's coverage is horrendous. They dont mind collecting your money but they dont follow through by providing adequate service. Unable to send or receive texts or phone calls. Keeps dropping and saying "unable to connect to a network". Have been promising to fix the issue for 2 years! DONT USE SPRINT!
