Moved here 4 years ago. Verizon cell reception has been no more than 2 bars, often just 1 bar. Very disappointed but concerned that other carriers might be no better.

10.24.2020 AT&T cellular reception was good about 2 years ago and now we're lucky if yo get two bars. Not sure what changed?

I used my Alcatel for phone, text easily. And then the service bombed. When it was cloudy and then no reason. In September I was in 20814, downtown Berhesda all day with no problem. Next day in my building, no service. Staff at store is great but no one suggested any mechanical devices that would help. I'm out, sadly Wonderful price $33.00, now more with Verizon.

Verizon in DC is garbage, T-Mobile is tops in this town, I'm not sure about AT&T or Sprint. I've been a customer of Verizon since 2000 and they started out strong, were excellent for a long while and they focused on coverage and it was great, but then they never upgraded their towers or utilized or purchased bands and we're stuck with garbage service for data, soooo sloooow. I'm lucky if I get 1mbps speeds, usually it's around.5, although uploads are in the 5mbps+ range, so it's obvious verizon's oversold and hasn't upgraded anything in years. My friends with T-Mobile are experiencing data speeds of 15 mbps or more, much, much more even, while my phone keeps going from slow as hell lte to even slower 3g, even news sites take like a full minute to load, if they load at all, lots of refreshing and airplane mode cycling with verizon. I'm ready to jump ship.

Sprint has been the only carrier that I’ve ever had but I’m seriously considering dropping them because cell reception is so bad. Making a phone call in my apartment is the worst that I’ve ever experienced. Thankfully, my WiFi is great so that helps with receiving texts and searching on the internet. Phone calls however is frustratingly difficult.

I just moved from downtown (Columbia Heights) where Sprint reception was top notch. In Friendship Heights (southeast of WI Ave), Sprint's voice and data reception is abysmal (at most 2 - but usually 1 bar.) How is this possible so close to all the towers around Tenleytown??? Get it together Sprint -- this is the Nation's capital.

Around June 2016 I used to get 4 or 5 bars in my house. Now September 2016 always 2 or less. -108db when near a window.

Shocked at how horrible the Verizon service is in this pocket of DC - I get barely anything outside my home and the walls block it entirely. I've heard from neighbors that other companies have made improvements in the area but Verizon hasn't yet.
