AT&T Wireless (GSM)
Since a week ago (Aug, 13 04) I have had no reception. I called in a trouble ticket - to no avail. I've tried three different phones, a neighbour's AT&T phone is also dead. A friend with AT&T, came to visit - she can't make calls out or in. No support from AT&T. Of course they want me to buy a new phone. Was this review helpful to you?
When I had my old clunky Nokia phone I had no problems at all. I got the new phone from Verizon and have had nothing but trouble. I have to go outside to get and keep a call. Was this review helpful to you?
I recently moved from Los Angeles where Sprint ruled the airwaves. Now I have to go across the street and stand in a field at Trinity to get a signal. I have tried in various locations around town and do not seem to have a problem until I get into buildings with 2 or more stories. I hope to find a carrier that I can use in my apartment. Was this review helpful to you?
About 10 feet in my building, the reception is gone. Was this review helpful to you?

The Panasonic GU87 works on GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 bands. AT&T switched from GSM 900 to 800 and renders the GU87 veritably useless. Of course, they failed to mention that they would be switching bands when they sold me the phone. Was this review helpful to you?
Can you spell "poor" reception? It's 1-2 bars and dropped calls all the time. Verizon said I needed new phone, so I bought one. Guess what? It's the Verizon signal (or absence thereof) not the phone that is the issue here in the shadow of the National Cathedral. Was this review helpful to you?
The reception at South Dakota & Michigan Ave is horrible. I have to stand at my front door of my house just to get any kind of connection. Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint rules. I have tried T-Mobile and ATT Wireless GSM. I do not get signals inside buildings with the GSM phones. Sprint is always at full bar. I even get 3 bars reception in my garage which is 2 levels underground and in the elevators. I would highly recommend sprint for DC.Was this review helpful to you?
It used to be real great in my area. Before I had AT&T and they sucked in my area, so i switched to T-mobile. Recently in the past few months my reception has been horrible, i've called t-mobile about it many times, but they havent seemed to done anything about it.Was this review helpful to you?
Terrible. Sprint doesn't work at work or at home. It's absolutely inoperable when underground in the Metro. I canceled my service last month. Was this review helpful to you?
