AT&T

I use to have Sprint, and they only worked on the highways, definately not for camping. Cingular always has good coverage. Verizon in a small town in Iowa had reception, but not cigular. I'm still with Cingular cause they always treat me well (been a customer since 1998). I notice that a lot of Verizon customers have to call back when in the metro, either because the reception is poor or cause it's too loud. I think Verizon has good reception, but Cingular is good. A few years back, Cingular had shoddy reception in Glover Park, but now it seems to be better; either do to towers or switching over to the new band I think GSM. Sprint and T-Mobile are fine for urbanites and highway travelers but not for adventerous people. Verizon and cigular are pretty similar.

Inside good reception. Maintain call reception even in elevator

Cingular customer service is the only thing worse than its reception. I have to move around the house constantly to get some reception and must keep the conversation short. Cingular will change back to AT&T, but unfortunately it is going to be only a cosmetic change (just a name.) The big brother won't have me for long! Switching to T-Mobile which has improved a lot and does not spy on you while trying to control the internet!

I can't get any reception whatsoever inside my apartment. Even standing at the window I only get 1 bar! I am so disappointed with Cingular I will definitely not use them when my contract expires.

Despite being told that reception is poor here, near the Russian embassy and down in a valley, I've been pleasantly surprised. Consistent good signal and sound quality.

I use this phone for business out of my house all day long. Very, very few problems with coverage. Both this phone, and the Treo 650 could use some help in the bug department. I average one major bug a month. Sprints phone technical help is pretty good - when you get them on the phone. Their in-store help is the worst I have ever seen. Avoid the retail stores like the plague!

1 block from DC line. Cannot call out from anywhere in the house, even on top floor near windows or standing outside. Since switching from ATT for years, the Cingular service is awful. Customer Service claims, "why, it is pretty good in your area, must be something wrong with your phone." Excellent reception, call out in other major cities--Boston, San Francisco

Some parts of the mall I get 5 bars of reception where in other parts I get 0-1 bars of reception. That is unacceptable for a major metropolitan mall.

Its a block from the White House, at the World Bank, and I get shoddy reception on Cingular. The service comes and goes - barely one bar of reception... Cingular please do something!

Even though I get four bars of reception, my calls still either dont go through or drop during the conversation. To get even that minimum quality, I have to be sranding by my front door. This neighborhood desperately needs a cell tower.
