AT&T

I have had sprint,verizon,voicestream,t-mobile and AT&T tdma and gsm phones and by far the at&t's gsm phones are far more reilable when you are talking in the reception catagory in most places that I hav been on the east coast I have had great service with the AT&T network and to be honest I really would have liked it better if AT&T would have bought cingular, becaue Cingular on the other hand has a more (non) customer service here is one example AT&T customer service deparment never closed but not of the merger cingulars customer service department closes at 9p.m. est

Average reception for SprintPCS in my area. No reception in Metro Tunnels and Stations, which is annoying. Would switch to Verizon in a heartbeat, but they don't support the Treo or any other real data oriented phones.

My reception in my area is perfect all throughout the area, my home, and in my basement. I have no complaints, and I don't remember the last time I had a dropped call. I did have a problem once, where it was late at night and I went from a full signal to one bar, and it stayed like that for hours. They were probably doing repairs on the tower or something, but that is my only problem.

I have used two Nokia phones in my home with perfect reception at all times, and a Sony Ericsson that never worked, all on Cingular's network. My only gripe is no service on the train...

I am unable to get a good signal of more than 1 or 2 bars in my home, a low rise condo. There are also areas nearby such as Naylor Rd. and Alabama Ave. SE, that there is complete loss of signal for at least 2 to 3 miles. I have called the service provider numerous times. The response was that there are no towers there. When asked what I should do since I am unable to use my phone in a large part of the neighborhood, I was told to consider another provider by a customer service agent. After speaking with her manager, I was told that the previous answer was unacceptable, offered several free months of service, and promised to be notified when the towers were put up. It has been over 3 months and no improvement. I guess the customers in areas of Anacostia are dispensible.

I never had a problem in DC or Arlington (Wilson Blvd. and Washington Blvd.). I get great reception in the house on all floors including the basement, great coverage at work (downtown) in the building on the 3rd floor, and great coverage in the Metro. I wouldn't trade it for any other service in DC.

I have a very basic LG model. At first I was frustrated until I saw hw many problems my friends who have AT&T have. Sprint is above average throughout most of DC, No signal in Metro except Union Station. I am switching to a higher performance phone hoping to improve the signal clarity.
