T-Mobile

I have had T-Mobile for over 8 years. I have had an Android device since the original G1 "Google Phone" the first Android smart phone. In the early days of 3G data, T-Mobile had spotty irregular coverage. Today I can say the 4G LTE system is not only fast (average 24MPS indoors, old brick house) the coverage is solid everywhere I go in Hampton Roads and traveling out of town. Many of the negative reviews of T-Mobile service seemed like a time warp, as it is what I was experiencing several years ago, but not today. T-Mobile is giving me fantastic customer service and phenomenal coverage and data speeds. Thank you for the work and the upgrades. The hard work shows, T-Mobile is The Best.

Sprint has been an awful carrier for us. Thank god we finally switched to another carrier. For over a decade we stuck it out because they were the only provider with true unlimited data. The problem was, we rarely actually GOT that data because the signal was so poor. Even when LTE came to the area the data was poor and often didn't have a strong enough connection for LTE anyway. Phone calls often never got through, going straight to voicemail because the phones had no signal or the signal was too weak and even texts were sometimes delayed, by up to hours, before being received. We switched to another carrier (T-Mobile) once unlimited data was an option and we are so very glad we did. The difference is, literally, night and day. T-Mobile's signal is much better, no dropped or missed calls and no delayed texts. We always have 4G now and data is reliable and stable. We actually kept our land line for years because Sprint was so unreliable. Now that we're on T-Mobile we may very well finally 'cut the cord' on our land line.

Recently switched to T-Mo from Sprint. Sprint's coverage was absolutely awful. At work, in Nofolk, I often had no signal and at Home I was lucky to hold a signal reliably as well. I was even sometimes not getting calls at all, the phone would never ring and the caller would go straight to voicemail every now and then. I even had texts just never show up or show up hours after they'd been sent to me. It was awful. Finally we got sick of it and switched to T-Mobile. The difference is like night and day. On T-Mo I have full 3-4 bars 4G LTE at work and at home I've got 5 bars. Out and about my signal never drops and I have yet to miss a call or texts and have yet to have any texts show up delayed. Just an over-all much better experience. So glad we switched. No more missed calls, no more dropped data connections, much faster LTE and just more peace of mind. Never going back to Sprint and I was a Sprint customer for more than a Decade.

Sprint is better than AT&T in Norfolk. Speeds aren't any better but I can get a signal in many areas AT&T was not able to penetrate into.

I attempted to switch from Verizon to T-Mobile due to their international rates. I am military and T-Mobile offers great rates in Qatar. I was told that my Galaxy S6 would work by a T-Mobile Rep, and ordered SIMs under the Bring your Own Device plan. I was informed that I could receive a full refund within 30 days by the rep on the phone if I changed my mind. I received the SIM cards, and learned that my Verizon variant S6 wouldn't support data services on the T-Mobile network; from what I gather my location relied on a Band that they didn't provide? Regardless, I closed the account and asked for a refund on the SIM cards. I was initially told by a customer service rep that they would not refund the SIM cards. After reviewing the information I received when I initially began the process of switching and noting that it did say I had 30 days to get a full refund, I called back and was informed that I would receive a refund for the SIM cards (that was after being bounced around several times to different reps and eventually their orders department. I was informed not to worry about returning the SIM cards, because it wasn't economical for T-Mobile to reuse them. I was told that I would receive a refund for the SIM card purchase. This has never happened. I have interacted with them over the phone and on chat numerous times, and been given the run around every time. I am disputing the charges with my credit card company based on the chat logs I have promising a refund, and I am also posting to this and other forums in the hopes that prospective customers will see it and stay away from Tmobile. My goal is to cost them at least as much in revenue from a potential customer as they have effectively stolen from me. So, if you're reading this, please take my advice and stay away from Tmobile. They ripped me off, and they might do it to you as well.

I do not have high speed data and I am still able to use the hotspot on my phone to stream movies! That's incredible! I however don't understand why I have ZERO service on base.

I've had both T-MOBILE and Sprint..before I finally bit the bullet and changed over to Verizon. Yes the best cell reception in my area and around hampton roads. I came in on a good deal..one phone,10 gigs for $100 ( with taxes and insurance it runs me about $120 a month This was a short term offer which I got in on and Ive been told I got in on a great deal. One problem where I live I dont have access to decent wifi..as I live in a campground and the wifi is really spotty. Most of the time I barely go over 6 gigs.I don't play games or watch movies but I use the phone for both my work and personal and so Im on the phone a lot mainly using the Internet and Facebook..however a couple months my data useage ran wild and has hit 10gigs..but I'm not doing anything any different so I don't know why..one time I had a runaway app which ate of gigs and it took me 3 trips to the V store to find someone who can figure it out.I kept telling them I wasn't doing anything different..and all they offered me is extra gigs, that is, until I found a person at the store that really knew what she was doing..she cured it inmediately. I feel that the companies can pad the usage and youre not the wiser. I'd like to cut my cost but it looks like less price equals much poorer service..
