Depends on the flow of traffic on Atando Avenue. 3-6 bars depending on the PRL.

The intersection of Queens and Selwyn and Radcliffe, near Queens University, has become a "dead" zone in the last two months. I get reception inside my house with a "network extender" but no reception outside or within a 1-2 block area. What is the problem? This is new and we never had reception problems before. Anything to do with the construction at Queens University?

Dead Spot on the main floor of Charlotte Convention Center from Verizon Wireless. You would think they would put in some sort of signal booster for a venue such as this! Especially with the Democratic National Convention coming to town. Come on Verizon, you can do it!

In my apt. there is dropped calls, the buffering sucks&can't watch videos,tv on my cell,etc... can't play any games or do anything involving downloading including the internet. I currently have a 3g phone and want to upgrade to a 4g but I feel it'll be a waste of money unless I move away. I'm very disappointed because I chose Verizon based on the dead zone commercial I saw being that I knew my area wasn't the best.

Reception great, but no 3g. Have to go to Gastonia or Gaffney to get that. :(

Queens University - Selwyn Rd.- Nextel Sucks bigtime. If you get enough signal to make a call, 4 out of 5 calls will be dropped before completion.

I'm warning you - Sprint is HORRIBLE in Charlotte; Signal and Customer Service. I had Sprint when I moved to 28209 5 yrs ago and had no service inside my home. Switched to AT&T and loved it everywhere I travelled (I own a Real Estate company so I'm everywhere). I built a home in 28205 and and switched back to Sprint because they are cheap and now have horrible service again(For some reason it keeps getting worse) and I don't get voicemails until 12-24 hrs later. I tried switching phones and customer service wants to charge me $100 for a 5,000 sq. ft. Booster for the home, but will wave a $6 / mo fee if I sign another 2 yr contract (If that doesn't work and I cancel I'll pay the waived monthly fees). Does this sound fair? I just need a phone that works. Hindsight is 20 / 20. They had horrible customer service 5 yrs ago and when I was signing up 4 mos ago 2 of their customers were complaining and cancelling. However, I wanted to save a couple $$ / mo. and now I have to pay a $200 cancellation fee which is worth it to have a working phone.

Sprint was fantastic in Charlotte until recently. I drop about 2 calls a year in Charlotte (good, imho) and still have great voice reception but my data has went from good to horrible since February. There are numerous spots around town where the data is amazing but in my neighborhood it's a joke (Actually it is fine from Lawndale east). I hate that this happened in the middle of a contract or I'd switch carriers. It seems that Sprint has turned towers off or they were repo'd.
