I'm warning you - Sprint is HORRIBLE in Charlotte; Signal and Customer Service. I had Sprint when I moved to 28209 5 yrs ago and had no service inside my home. Switched to AT&T and loved it everywhere I travelled (I own a Real Estate company so I'm everywhere). I built a home in 28205 and and switched back to Sprint because they are cheap and now have horrible service again(For some reason it keeps getting worse) and I don't get voicemails until 12-24 hrs later. I tried switching phones and customer service wants to charge me $100 for a 5,000 sq. ft. Booster for the home, but will wave a $6 / mo fee if I sign another 2 yr contract (If that doesn't work and I cancel I'll pay the waived monthly fees). Does this sound fair? I just need a phone that works. Hindsight is 20 / 20. They had horrible customer service 5 yrs ago and when I was signing up 4 mos ago 2 of their customers were complaining and cancelling. However, I wanted to save a couple $$ / mo. and now I have to pay a $200 cancellation fee which is worth it to have a working phone. Was this review helpful to you?
I get one bar if I am lucky, otherwise I have no service. I had to buy a 3G Microcell due to this. An AT&T store literally sits right across the street from me and they cant't help. They just say "We know this is an issue, would you like to buy a 3G Microcell" Good way to sell an additional product. This also speaks to their coverage. If they had good coverage there would be no need for the Microcell. Also, I updated my Iphone 3GS software and now my phone no longer gets decent reception with the Microcell. I'm switching from AT&T to Verizon when the new Droid X comes out. I'm happy to pay the cancellation fee for a phone that actually works in my home. Was this review helpful to you?

Service at the Stonecrest shopping center is a joke. Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint was fantastic in Charlotte until recently. I drop about 2 calls a year in Charlotte (good, imho) and still have great voice reception but my data has went from good to horrible since February. There are numerous spots around town where the data is amazing but in my neighborhood it's a joke (Actually it is fine from Lawndale east). I hate that this happened in the middle of a contract or I'd switch carriers. It seems that Sprint has turned towers off or they were repo'd.Was this review helpful to you?

Email and browser service seems fine, but call reception is terrible. Lots of static, and then calls drop. We're renting until we decide where to buy and had hoped not to need a landline in the interim. Was this review helpful to you?
Depending on where I place the device in my condo, I get somewhere between 20% and 60%. 60% is the best reception I've received from the device. Was this review helpful to you?
The service is not functional in the house and can barely get by outside. It is 0-2 bars and constantly varies in that range. I even tried their Network extender which you must pay for and it ultimately didn't help. I was advised by Verizon that I could opt out of my contact with them because they acknowledged that I was in a very low signal strength area. They also advised me that they were not going to do anything about improving it either. FYI.Was this review helpful to you?
