never have reception problems at home in Ballantyne area. There are only about 3 areas in Charlotte that I ALWAYS lose connection - that are very consistent locations (one spot on Morehead by downtown, one spot on Sharron Rd close to Wendover). I don't like the fact that I may not get a text or voice msg for 30 minutes approx after the sender sends it to me. My biggest complaint is I go ZERO service up in the Mountains - Roan Mountains / spruce pine / Bakersville / Little switerland - and we go there every weekend, so I can't ever use my cell on the weekends up there (it's just worthless). Wish they do something about that. As I am a 24 / 7 hour IT professional the cell phone service is mandatory for me. In Charlotte it works 95% great, in the mountains 0%. But my boyfriend gets service from his Sprint cell in the mountains. Was this review helpful to you?
Cingular coverage in this city is ridiculously horrible. Dropped calls continously. Anyone moving to Charlotte should plan on changing cellular service or deal with the constant frustration. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception totally sucks. Where's the network? Verizon could care less. Anyone for a class action suit, the service doesn't live up to the ads. No good at all inside house, very marginal outside. Was this review helpful to you?
THE WORST! Tin cans with a string would probably be a better choice. Tried different phones, always getting the same miserable reception, if at all. Voice mails arrive 2-3 days late. My contract with Verizon ends August 7th, 2008. It will be a day of celebration! Was this review helpful to you?
AT$T is doing nothing to fix this problem. I've been suffering this"pain" 4 years. They say I'd try to switch a new cell phone. I did. IT's still the same. AT$T sucks! Was this review helpful to you?
Just moved to this neighborhood and I can't get more than 2 bars on my phone. Reception is horrible if I get any at all... very patchy. I've never had such problems with reception and I've been using Verizon for 6 years. Definitely going to have to get a land line which sucks. Haven't had a land line in probably 5 years. Was this review helpful to you?
I've been a customer since 2000, and for the most part have been fairly satisfied with their service. Lately though reception doesn't seem as good and I'm dropping more calls. Last year I had an issue with my phone and was basically told that I was not a new customer and was in the middle of a contract so they were not pbligated to be be too nice to me... I just purchased an unlocked Blackberry and since my contract is now doe, am shopping around...Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is usually always at one bar. Sometimes I will receive voice mails without the phone ever ringing, and drop calls are about 1 in 5. I've heard Alltel is the best in this area, but I've still got about 10-months left on my 2-year contract with Verizon so I can't switch. Lame! Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint's new Powersource (hybrid) phone rocks! Great signal in house for the first time in years, plus the Nextel radio part seems to work faster than before. Two Thumbs way up! Got it at the corporate Sprint store near the Costco in Sycamore Commons. Was this review helpful to you?
This has been a nightmare with nextel / sprint coverage is bad all over charlotte. Dead areas, 485 arrowod to providence rd, 77 remount / clanton, all of carmel rd, providence country club, any surrounding counties. Total disbelief of service. Was this review helpful to you?
