Nextel

I get dropped calls for nearly 1 of every 2 conversations! Can't wait to switch carriers. Had AT&T previously and although not perfect, was 100% improvement from current Nextel service. Talking to another Nextel subscriber virtually guarantees that one of us will lose the connection prior to completing a 5 min call! Outrageous!

I have horrible reception here. Everywhere else -- Independence Blvd.for example I have full bars. I even had full bars in Williamsburg, VA! But right here in this area (close to Eastland Mall), the reception SUCKS.

Part of the AT&T sellout to SunCom. Awful experience at the SunCom office to "update our SIM cards". Took hours, had to switch to new phones, lost all stored contacts, and messages. No service in our home and we only use cell phones! First bill from SunCom was in error over $300! This is wrong. I hope there is a class action suit against SunCom and AT&T - there are a lot of angry customers ready to participate.

I have 4 bars in my house. I was part of that AT&T Suncom switch. I do get some dropped calls around Charlotte. But It happens.

Perfect reception in my home and surrounding neighborhood.

Being one of the 200,000 AT&T customers that got handed over to Suncom... . We have had 4 lines for several years, stuck with AT&T. Suncom's reception, customer service, and technical ability is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. We will be leaving them asap, once we figure out who can provide the services we were accustomed to. If you are thinking about "Truth in Wireless" be sure to avoid Suncom. Was unaware of what really happened with the AT&T ~ Cingular merger... but dumping 200K of your customers without explaining what was to happen... Remind me to never run a business that way (which I have been unable to do professionally using a suncom network with dozens of dropped calls and poor reception).

Poor signal reception inside ( 0 - 2). Outside a little better - 3 bars. I just switched from Sprint and they where no better as I had about a 60-70% drop call rate with Sprint. I am really disappointed with Cingular's reception - I would have expected better since they have a tower faily close by per the customer service department.

Very bad signal inside the house. Lots of patchy areas around the zip code. Many times, our family plan phones have different carriers when all the phones are at the same place... and get charged for roaming! Can't wait to get out of this hell!

I've had cell phone service for 4+ yrs. Reception in Charlotte has generally been very good but miserable at my residence in Coachman Ridge. As someone noted earlier, over time Verizon's reception signal has got worse, so now I only get email notification when I drive away from my residence. Despite contacting several CSRs and technicians at Verizon over the years they've always responded that I just have to learn to live with my weak signal. Of course, God forbid that they live up to their adverts, such as "we're always working for you!" I just tried switching to a GSM phone with Cingular and find thr reception even worse. Not even one "signal bar" showing on the phone. Same thing, Cingular have no plans to upgrade the equipment / towers.
