Service drops constantly or I cannot be heard. Moved from CA and when moved in to this home the service just disappeared. Need ot walk outside to find service. Feels like I am out camping in the Sierra Nevadas. Going to Sprint to see if the service is better here.

I have had this service a little over a week an it is by far the worst I have ever had. I can barely make a call. If I do get a call I can't hear them or they can't hear me. It says 4G coverage but it is E with no bars. Cant get online with or without wifi. They won't give me a refund or my money back. I should never had left Cricket. At least the services were good at Cricket. I am just going to loose the money I'm leaving Metro it sucks.

Seriously... Verizon is the worst here. Many people say it's the best reception in the charlotte area... If that's the case then the other guys shouldn't be in business. (I know ATT and T-Mobile have better reception in uptown charlotte) I do well at home (Belmont) but I'm in the middle of uptown charlotte and I'm constantly dropping calls or missing emails because of no signal, and it's not just me, Nobody with a Verizon phone gets decent signal here... Also.. Verizon has my phone (BB Z10) locked to LTE, no way I can manually change it to 3g to try and catch a different tower. Charlotte has grown 64.6% between 2000 and 2010 and is considered the second largest banking city in the USA (money.cnn.com, 2012) you would think Verizon would pour a little money into getting some towers in uptown. I've called multiple times and they always say it’s because of a lack of towers in charlotte, and I should buy a repeater... if I worked in the boonies I would understand, but this is ridiculous. If I could chose my own provider (locked into work) I would drop Verizon and go to anyone else ASAP. I'm working on my company to switch providers because of this problem.. Simply awful.

In Charlotte visiting family and have absolutely no service. Arrived at the airport and couldn't even let family know I had arrived. Very disappointed.

Good so far. Almost a solid three bars in my apartment at all times.

Moved out of Matthews and into the rural Mint Hill area. Went from having 2 or 3 bars of LTE down to 1 at best; most of the time I get kicked down to 4G. Reception is non-existent inside my house, have to be within inches of a window or go outside. Sucked it up and bought a Microcell from AT&T and it fixed our reception problem in the house, we now have full bars. Down side, if we are arriving home or leaving home while on the phone, we lose the call as it either switches to or from the Microcell. I can't beat the service plan I have with my family due to the discounts I receive through work, but I would switch to Verizon in a second if they could match the price.

I either have no reception or one to two bars of service at best. Crossing the city I can easily drop 5+ calls in 20 mins. The ONLY place that has perfect service is downtown. I live 5 mins from center city and I have no coverage at my house. Thankfully I buy extra internet to at least run my phone off wi-fi to notify someone in case of an emergency by text or email. My contract is over Oct 1st. I am shopping new companies. This has been ongoing for at least over a year. I would have changed before however I was in a contract. I also have spoken to other Sprint users and they have the exact same problem. You would think that in a city with over one million people we could have at least the minimum standard coverage.

Good coverage for most of Charlotte, with some holes. I had a terrible LG prepaid phone so not sure if this caused the dropped calls or if it was the network.

Cell reception is very weak in the areas of South-Southeast Charlotte and around the UNCC area. Frequently on 1x (lower than typical 3G speeds) data. Calls are not clear at all.
