Seriously... Verizon is the worst here. Many people say it's the best reception in the charlotte area... If that's the case then the other guys shouldn't be in business. (I know ATT and T-Mobile have better reception in uptown charlotte) I do well at home (Belmont) but I'm in the middle of uptown charlotte and I'm constantly dropping calls or missing emails because of no signal, and it's not just me, Nobody with a Verizon phone gets decent signal here... Also.. Verizon has my phone (BB Z10) locked to LTE, no way I can manually change it to 3g to try and catch a different tower. Charlotte has grown 64.6% between 2000 and 2010 and is considered the second largest banking city in the USA (money.cnn.com, 2012) you would think Verizon would pour a little money into getting some towers in uptown. I've called multiple times and they always say it’s because of a lack of towers in charlotte, and I should buy a repeater... if I worked in the boonies I would understand, but this is ridiculous. If I could chose my own provider (locked into work) I would drop Verizon and go to anyone else ASAP. I'm working on my company to switch providers because of this problem.. Simply awful. Was this review helpful to you?
No issues at all with calls. Data occasionally drops to 3G in some situations. Internet is very fast most of the time. Was this review helpful to you?
One bar only in Uptown and my house in Cotswold. Very expensive for the service. Was this review helpful to you?
My wife has issues with group texting and my kids have no reception at Weddington middle and high school. Those are my major complaints. If T-Mobile could fix these issues, I would be a satisfied customer. Was this review helpful to you?
In Charlotte visiting family and have absolutely no service. Arrived at the airport and couldn't even let family know I had arrived. Very disappointed. Was this review helpful to you?

This is amazing. I was with T-Mobile - reception from day one was terrible but coverage map was 100%. Called and called and called. Finally they would not meet me but said they came out and coverage was fine. I said I would sign up for a four year contract if they could make or receive a call inside my house - they never responded. Now been with Verizon for 4 - can't call from house - not clear enough but better - but can't use as primary phone. So I researched T-Mobile - SURELY after four years it is better. Unable to find one single review that is good and we are larger than Atlanta? Verizon could not quote me correctly, three incorrect quotes - now charging $30 to upgrade a basic phone - (wow that was the last incentive) - terrible - so now they charge $150 to lock me into a two year contract. Then they are only willing to take $50 off a booster to keep me - 5 phones at home - 4 at office - gees... .. I would switch in a heart beat but everyone sucks in this market. T Mobile - Sprint - no good reviews - ATT Verizon same price. What a market.. If Virgin ever comes in 100% and gets coverage - they will shut everyone down. Both T Mobile and Verizon are worse four years later? WOW we really do live in the age of faster better lower priced tech. Wrong. Wish I could just terminate all the phones. Most frustrating process ever and it is a freaking cell phone. Was this review helpful to you?
I have had Sprint service for many years. I have noticed the quality of the reception / coverage going down. It is so bad now that I drop calls 5-6 a day and am constantly asking others to please repeat themselves because I cant hear them. It is hard to conduct business on the phone and be professional when you drop calls. Was this review helpful to you?
Moved out of Matthews and into the rural Mint Hill area. Went from having 2 or 3 bars of LTE down to 1 at best; most of the time I get kicked down to 4G. Reception is non-existent inside my house, have to be within inches of a window or go outside. Sucked it up and bought a Microcell from AT&T and it fixed our reception problem in the house, we now have full bars. Down side, if we are arriving home or leaving home while on the phone, we lose the call as it either switches to or from the Microcell. I can't beat the service plan I have with my family due to the discounts I receive through work, but I would switch to Verizon in a second if they could match the price. Was this review helpful to you?
