I just moved to the area and I have only been able to raise 1 bar in the entire area around my home. In the city I get full reception but it drops calls and is difficult to hear the people at the other end. Verizon sucks around here.

I have had Sprint ALMOST two years. This past December the service went way south! I walk across my bedroom and the call drops (not in service area). I cannot wait to end this relationship! As far as traveling it was great, but I need it locally more than away.

Can't wait for my contract to expire next month. Terrible reception, and Nextel won't let me out a month early! What a company!

I have zero reception in my house. I have to stand out in the driveway to have a conversation. I didn't have problems in N Market St. area but as soon as I moved across the bridge I drop calls. Won't be renewing with cingular. Hopefully will try Verizon.

I love Verizon Wireless in Wilmington, NC it's the best service ever.

Reception from Wilmington airport, driving north on Interstate 40 to Burgaw is very weak and spotty. Calls are dropped easily.

Stay away from Nextel. Now that Sprint owns them, the Nextel IDEN technology will be discontinued by 2008 or 2009. They are not upgrading sites or adding more towers.

Although Nextel, now Sprint Nextel, claims to had "good" coverage in this area along Hwy. 17, I live less than 500 feet from this major highway but can't get more than one bar on my phone even if standing in the yard ot driveway. Service drops in and out almost constantly.

Reception comes and goes, sometimes three bars(max) and then no signal at all. Even outside I may drop a call three times in a three minute time frame. I thought it may be my phone but my son visited and he had the same problem. Think I am going to look for another carrier.
