Verizon
Verizon says this is a marginal coverage area and that the same is true for AT&T in this area. (I had an AT&T work cell a couple years ago and the reception in Peachtree Hills was terrible.) I have tried a network extender in our house and are about to downgrade from 4G to 3G phones, as Verizon says 3G works better in spotty areas. Pain in the neck.

I never have a problem with Spint around my work area and hardly ever in the Atlanta area. Occasionally will have a challenge in the Smyrna area but not often enough to consider changing carriers. I changed to Sprint from Verizon and in my opinion Sprint is by FAR the best value for the money.

Got Uverse. TV was up 95% of the time. Phone up 95% of the time. Internet was up just 20% of the time. Had Uverse for 3-4 months. Went through about 9 technician visits, gave up. When I called, they tried to make me troubleshoot their network by listening to a machine. Insisted on sending technicians to check things that weren't broken. This neighborhood is too far from their VRAM. Salespeople lie. Internet is worthless throughout most of the day because it "loses sync" every sixty seconds or so. Worse than Comcast, some say.

reception along Briarcliff Rd is horrible with any of the providers. We have an ATT microcell in our house which gives us a full signal... as long as the power doesn't go out. Dead spots include the Echo Lake / Lakeside High School area, Oak Grove, Briarcliff Rd between Clairmont and N Druid Hills

We tried switching to Verizon wireless and we will be returning our phones. Our coverage is usually 1 bar, with the occasional 2 bars. Most calls are dropped in the Brooke Farm neighborhood and the calls are garbled before being dropped.

I have been receeiving dropped calls, apparent static coming from my end when some people call in and when I call out to other cell phones in south Ga Im getting nothing but static. Ive called Sprint Custoner service and 3 times I was promised a call back within 48 hours and it never happened. The last two agents said my complaint could not escalate any further and nothing could be done. Would not let me out of my contract without a big fine so I complained to the FCC.

Very poor reception, having dropped calls every now and then, some times its very hard to hear what other person says. Loosing the call while talking is very common thing

Some days I have 5 bars and the other days I have 1 or less. It is so infuriating.

I can make calls and send texts, but I don't receive calls or text messages at all (the phone doesn't even ring). If I make a call out to someone else, I will then receive the text messages that I failed to receive previously. I have no clue what calls I have missed unless they leave a voicemail (and people hardly leave those anymore). I've gone through 2 replacement phones and they all had the same problem. My phone shows 3 or 4 bars, but Verizon told me that the location is a marginal coverage area, so the quality of the coverage is what is keeping me from receiving calls and texts. I used to live in the Peachtree Hills area and had the same problem there. They suggested that I leave my phone on the window sill to maximize reception or buy a signal extender. How about I just switch companies?

ATT has been a mess in this area since late June. Coverage is all over the map at my house. Even our new microcell antenna at our house works off and on. Dropped calls and terrible audio. Aarrrggghh!
