i have very good signal in most places... there is a spot on hwy 29 between soperton and vidalia where I always lose signal n drop calls but it dont matter what carrier you have there, it is a DEAD spot. I love Verizon and my palm pixi phone... dont think I will ever switch unless i'm forced to

My river house is 2.25 line of sight miles from 3 AT&T towers in Wadley, GA--service goes and comes but mostly goes--terrible AT&T service-jdw

There is only one spot in my yard I can talk -SOMETIMES. Yet My neighbor has Alltell and a very old Motorola phone with a pull out antenna, and he gets calls anywhere, even in my back yard where I never get reception. I am puzzled because I thought you could talk on any tower, and then the companies computers figured out who to pay. The FCC has really let down the public.

Poor bordering on no reception. Phone shows between 1-3 bars depending on conditions, however nearly every call is dropped regardless of the signal strength prior to the call.

I have T-Mobile because I just moved here. It seems like most people have Alltel or Verizon I get 1 bar every now and then inside. Outside it's a little better, but it comes and goes.

Alltel really and truly provides the best coverage around here. If you look at the map, there are numerous Alltel partnerships (it says GA / A / D / Alltel or something), which basically means Alltel. Verizon would be a second choice because they roam on Alltel, but Verizon tends to have about 1 bar when I have three. As well, Verizon blocks many features on there phone "tricking" you in to buying their products. Thus, Alltel wins for their phone capabilities plus numerous roaming agreements.

No reception by anyone but cincular and they only work in this area not in the rest of Jefferson Co. Occassional 1 bar from Alltel and verizon

Nextel has poor service in and around Statesboro. If you go outside the 301 bypass this is not the phone or service for you.
