Sprint
Service has declined and now I'm lucky to get service inside my house at all. I have an iPhone 5 and Sprint 3G service has ALWAYS rendered my iPhone unusable on anything but wifi, now though my voice service is starting to fade. I continually miss calls and texts at home and don't get a notification until I walk outside. My wife is on AT&T and has no problems at all, her iPhone is lightning fast and she never has service issues. If this service wasn't free through work I would drop Sprint in a heartbeat, worst service I've ever encountered.

Sprint
In the last few months, reception has declined. Used to have at least 3 bars, and never experienced dropped calls, now they happen regularly. 1 or 2 bars inside, but outside is just weird; from 1 to 4 back down to 2, 1, then up to 4 again, all in one minute.

Cell phones are unusable inside my house, and barely usable outside. When receiving calls, at least 50% of the time my phones don't even ring - call goes directly to voicemail (with phone on and not in use). DON'T USE VERIZON, you WILL be sorry.

this really sucks! I pay over $200 amonth for 3 lines and neither one of us can use our service when we're on. I worl from home and my son has chronic asthma so I need my ph on at all times!

Sprint
My cell phone reception seems to be good enough. I am amazed there are only 3 towers in the more densely populated areas.

I have AT&T wireless internet service and all phones are AT&T. I feel I get excellent service on everything except my Safelink phone. I get no reception bars at all here at the house but, I go into Jacksonville and get 5 bar reception. Must be the phone... .

T-Mobile
We were with T Mobile for six years. Over the last six months, we could rarely place calls in our home. 0 to 1 bars. It's better in other areas, but I wouldn't recommend the service in the NAS JAX / Ortega Farms area. We switched to Verizon now we have 2 to 3 bars, much better, but more expensive.

Sprint
I drop calls all the time. Signal shows 3-4 bars but the call still drops. Text messages take forever to go through. I use to have Verizon and never had these problems. What's the purpose of having unlimited internet if I can never use it.

Verizon
Didn't have any problems with this phone while living in San Antonio, TX. Moved to Orange Park, FL and have not been able to receive or make calls indoors or outside. Verizon is trying to tell me that its the phone. I finally got them to come out and scan the area and the report is that reception is poor. They did note that there are "multiple" homes with boosters in my area. My issue with Verizon is, you know that there is a problem in this area, why are you charging people for boosters? Plus the booster does not help me when I'm away from home i.e. in the car or at work. I'm paying full price but they are not providing full service. My 4g phone is useless. I'm going to keep calling and complaining until they get it right or drop me.

Nextel
At the house, the reception varies randomly and widely. Pretty much anywhere in town, for that matter. Sometimes takes me between 2-6 hours to receive a text message or voicemail alert. Call breakups and drops can happen at any moment for no apparent reason. It totally mystifies me that Nextel / Sprint have gotten away with having such useless service for so long. I made the mistake of leaving AT&T for the two-way to use at work. I left that job, and about to break the contract, to go back to AT&T, which I never had an issue with here in Jacksonville, FL STAY AWAY!

Sprint
Usually no bars. Inside max on either phone or air-card is 1 bar but it drops to no bars it the wind blows (yeah, that's a joke, but the signal strength is the truth). Outside usually 1 bar, on a lucky day jumps around between 1 to 2 bars. The closest Sprint tower is at NAS JAX, next closest is at JAX airport. Sprint store told me "too bad for you". Some kind of service, huh?

AT&T
I've had AT&T for many years (Since they bought out Cellular One) and they have made many Great improvements with their coverage. 17 years ago there service was poor here where I live. Now they have installed a new Tower at the corner of Chaffee and Normandy and never had a drop call or no service since. While my one friend has been here many times with many different carriers for service and none of them would work here. He would have to walk across the street to make or receive a call. He finally gave up and switched to AT&T. I have traveled from Fl to Pa many times with usable service all the way. They don't have the best prices but I do believe they do have the best service across the USA.

AT&T
I have been using Samsung and previously LG phones during my past 5 years association with AT and T (previously Cingular). I have NEVER had the problems the previous writers have stated. One note though, I have a friend living in the Timuquana Road / Catoma area and within his house I FREQUENTLY experience dropped calls and / or no signal. If I call his house and pass over 103rd and I-295, the call drops. So maybe what others are experiencing is NOT the carrier but the phone manufacturer or model. My friends complain because I send and receive calls inside Sam's, BJ's and yes, the gym at NAS Jax and they are left high and dry. maybe I'm wrong, but I think its the type of phone matched with your carrier.

I lose coverage in my office near Belfort / JtB but also my home JTB / Hodges. I have older I-phone but my wife has a Samsung 3G and she gets dropped calls as well in our house. 2 cell towers on JTB do not show up on this map? Whose are they? will switch to Verizon and take my chances. Had Sprint before and it was very bad as well.

T-Mobile
Generally have very good to perfect reception indoors and out, in automobiles, and even in the back of the dreaded Walmart Superstore and Sams. Occasionaly drops to 3 bars when I'm very close to a lot of computer equipment. Also get similarly good reception with our Nokia 6103s 6203, and Razer phones

I only get reception on the Naval Air Station on the edge of the base along US-17. I get great coverage everywhere else in Jacksonville, many other cities in Florida, and when I travel around the country. If you work at NAS, T-Mobile is not for you. Elsewhere, I would recommend it.

Dawsons Creek Subdivision in Argyle (past SR 23) has horrible reception. I'm lucky to get 1 bar and when I answer a call... then it drops it. Phones used is: a Razor (1 1 / 2 years old) and my husband uses a New PDA that he just purchased in January (purchased after service provider said to see about upgrading his phone (only 1 year old at the time) to get a better signal. SUCKER! Guess what, it didn't work.

Verizon
Reception very poor on CR 119, and non-existent on CR 121. This is unusual because usually my reception is great with Verizon. We also have the wireless air card I use with my laptop. No workie within 8 miles of my house! It doesn't seem that any of the cell companies have good reception in this area.

T-Mobile
Has great reception in my house and throughout Oakleaf Plantation. T-Mobile does a decent job in this area. There is one area on Branan Field and Plantation Oaks Pkwy. that always drops calls. Also does not work at NAS JAX, Russel Rd in various spots and some spots along I95 through St. Augustine. Overalll for the price and the FANTASTIC customer service- a great buy.

AT&T
I have little to no reception. I have tried other Nokia phones and nothing works. I have spoken numerous time to AT and T. The phone doesn't work in the house, nor outside. It is all over my area.

I have had three Samsung SGH807D cell phones and my wife has had two Samsung SGH407D phones with AT&T. My wife and I get very poor service either at home or while I am at work aboard NAS Jacksonville Fl. We both suffer from frequent dropped calls or loss of service entirely. Even when we are traveling down the road we lose connection. When calling each other while I am at work and she is on the road we can not reach each other and even leaving a message sometimes takes several hours for that message to reach the other.

Reception outside is 1 - 2 bars, idoors changes a lot from searching... to 1 - 2 bars. Verizon signal is good in the area. All T-mobile, Sprint, Nextel as expected don't work in the place I live. I have dropped few calls in the area with ATT. Hope they put more towers soon.

AT&T
I have had more dropped calls with Cingular than I ever had with T-Mobile, my previous carrier. But on a straight up comparison, Cingular wins because even though there are certain areas where I have poor reception, overall I can count on being able to make a phone call and not be roaming.

Sprint
Reception sucks in downtown Jacksonville on my phone. Half the time it shows as ROAMING and then I have to dial 1 plus the area code to call anyone!
