Sprint
Phone goes into ROAM all over the Grove. That's not a huge deal except you can't text when you're roaming. Also, LTE is a joke. Never available anywhere. Try driving up I-95 out of the Grove. When you get near downtown - dropped call. Moving to Verizon and hoping it's better. It can't be worse.

Sprint
Sprint has the WORST service and reception in Miami Beach, beyond bad. Dropped phone calls, roaming all the time. Better to go even with metro pcs, save the hassle!

Sprint
Absolutely worst reception for Sprint in Miami, I came from Dallas, coverage was not great either once inside buildings. Not happy. Also sprint's LTE seems to be only around 826 @ Flager and 8th St, and switching LTE and 3G causes my phone to constantly go kaput and freeze on data and voice signals, I often have to reboot my phone to re-use the phone again, so have to keep LTE disabled at all time. And in my house near SW 62 ave, signal is often 0 bar to 1 bar... go figure, often I call someone and they say they can't even hear me talking.

Sprint
Living on the beach in a high rise and really had to go outside to get a signal. People would call and it would not ring on the phone. At work downtown... I had zero signal.. I switched to ATT... ATT is ok at work but beach is still half way.. Stay away from Sprint.

Sprint
Hopefully, if you're reading this, it's because you're doing research before joining Sprint, and not googling this after you've been disappointed by the company. I switched over to Sprint after years of being with AT&T because I thought I'd save some bucks. I joined the day the iPhone 5 came out in September. I started experience poor reception right away. After complaining, I was told by the store reps to be patient since they are updating the towers in the city, and they should be ready by the last week of November, into early December. So, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. Huge mistake, since they gladly use the 14-day return period against you when you complain. After months of complaining, both inside the store, through Twitter, and through their customer service number, I finally had enough and went to cancel my account. Now they refuse to waive the $350 early termination fee because their computer shows excellent signal in my area, so everything I experienced must be false. Even after filing a complaint with the BBB, they are sticking to their guns, and refusing to waive the ETF, which is a real shame, since I already paid them way too much money for way too poor service. So, in conclusion, SAVE YOURSELF, and use any other cell phone provider. Even MetroPCS, who have apparently come a long way since they first began. Just, whatever you do, don't get sucked into the nation's worst customer service and cellphone reception provider.

Sprint
Simply unacceptable coverage throughout the greater Miami area. I had to have an AirRave installed in my apartment to get any reception and connections are spotty around the city. Data speeds are simply atrocious as well. I RARELY achieve over.1mbps on speed tests and load errors are a common occurent. I don't even bother using web on my phone if I'm not connected to Wifi. I will be dumping Sprint as soon as possible.

Verizon
Signal strength seems to flux between 4-5 bars. 3G indicator always present. Unsure as to whether or not flux is due to buildings or area, or due to VZWs poor saturation of the Miami Metro area market.

US Cellular
Moving from rural New England where cell service is expected to be spotty, I never thought the reception in Miami would be horrible. I thought it was just my carrier but my research has shown that it's not unique to one carrier or phone. I too have been standing perfectly still with great bars one second while on a call and then no bars the call drops. Time of day does not seem to change the outcome. Where can we all complain? FCC? Florida Utilities / Public service dept?

Sprint
There is something wrong with Sprint service in the Miami Downtown area. I have 4 bars then 2 minutes later 0 bars and calls dropped, it cycles regularly like watching the ocean, making it impossible to use the phone for anything but text messages and email. Customer service is good, I like sprint, the phone is great, and it works well in all other in places, but there is something wrong with the downtown service and it is getting worse. Don't buy Sprint if you live in down town Miami and like to talk on the phone for more than 30 seconds.

There is no coverage in my home, even in the yard or street. I get totally disconnected when I'm home. I WON'T suggest it to ANYONE. It's HORRIBLE.

Verizon
Some areas inside building have no reception at all. Other areas have very poor; you have to go near a window to make a call; to keep from dropping a received call (if you're lucky enough to receive it) you have to go near a window also. Started service in 01 / 2012 and it wasn't great, but in March it became worse. Did Verizon give up the lease to one of their cell towers in the Miami area? Contrarily, people with other carrier service report that their service is better.

AT&T
AWFUL! I live just behind Whole Foods and I can't even get decent service anywhere in the house. Have to go outside on the roof with a ladder to call important clients! Have an AT&T Micro Cell but that's useless too

Once I get within 5 feet of the building I go from 5 bars to 1 bar to no signal at all. Maybe every once in a while if I don't move I will get gsm or "e" reception not Capital E but little e. If I try to text most of the time it won't send.
