Sprint is horrible! Go Verizon! The reviews stating they use the same towers so go Sprint because its cheaper is not exactly correct! They do roam together but they don't have interchangeable quality- first of all they use different bandwidth on the CDMA network. Verizon uses a shorter bandwidth which is why they have the best coverage inside buildings. It's not the phone's reception at all. Shorter waves penetrate walls immensely better than the longer waves that Sprint uses regardless of whose tower is being used. The second difference is the Internet coverage. You will not benefit from Verizon's 3G or 4g lte coverage with Sprint sprints Internet is dismal and worthless. Even when it does connect, it's is usually less than 1mbps. Verizon is light years faster and is all over Nashville. Over 90% lte coverage. Sprint is cheaper but you're basically paying them to use your wifi because that's all you will get to use to access the Internet 90% of the time.

AT&T

AT&T= dirty sh*+ water. I have to stand on my front porch to call family and clients, that's perfect when it's 40 degrees outside. At my office in century city by the airport I am on the extended network and breaking up. The two locations I spend 80 percent of my time I would be better off using homing pigeons. Goodnight AT&T on jan 14th when my contract is up. Worked great in po' dunk bowling green where land for cell towers is dirt cheap. Good to know my 100 bucks a month is going to good use.

Verizon

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Nashville and Surrounding Areas, Nashville, TN 37211 |

I have not had one dropped call in 11 years that I can remember. I get excellent customer service when I call for plan changes or whatever my need is. I can always understand whomever I'm speaking with and they are never rude. I work in all the major hospitals in and around Nashville, and I even get reception inside the facilities!

AT&T

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | Chickering Ln, Nashville, TN 37215 |

I usually have reception at my house, but not as I go down Chickering Lane and Chickering Rd (northwest of my house) to Belle Meade Blvd.in Nashville. I have to wait until the intersection of Belle Meade Blvd.and Iroquois to get any bars at all. Reception is better when I go east. This morning (6 / 29 / 2012)I have no reception at all at my house, but my phone works when I leave the neighborhood. This has gone on all day and they say they reported it and it should be resolved by next Tuesday! Very frustrating.

T-Mobile

Most apps report no internet connection when attempting to do anything data related. My Verizon iPhone, supplied by work, is 3G with 4 bars less than 6 inches away. T-Mobile seems to have a "reboot your phone" as the standard protocol for ALL issues regarding lack of signal. I would imagine it's to get you off the support call. This occurs in several locations along the I-24 corridor and several areas in Nashville such as Inglewood and Antioch.

Good reception, bad customer service, never paid a bill to a company who's customer service is so incapable of helping out customers. Rude people!

Towers VS Antenna: WOW, fact is simple, Verizon and Sprint use the same cell towers, while ATT and T-Mobile use the same towers. That's because of the type of signal they use GSM or CMDA. When you call from a Sprint phone, but are closer to a Verizon tower, your call goes through the Verizon tower, and vice versa. As you travel away from one tower toward another, the phone call gets transferred to the next tower that uses your signal type be it your company, or it's equivalent. Same with AT&T and T-Mobile. That's what is called Roaming. So the true question is how good is YOUR phone's antenna. This is why the debate seems to be never ending. One friend says his Sprint phone gets great reception, while another friend says he had Sprint and dropped them due to poor coverage. The likely case is the latter had a cheaper phone. So do your research first on which companies plan best suits you, then research the best phone that handles that companies signals. I chose Sprint due to their truly unlimited plans, that save me over the old ATT account we had. No surprise charges, and no data slow downs like ATT had. I then chose the EVO which had some good reviews for it's antenna, and voila, I have a great plan, and great coverage due to the type of antenna. Hope this helps you guys out.
