T-Mobile
Works great by my apartment. The only problems I ever have is when I'm on Briley Pkwy. Cuts in and out sometimes there. Other than that, reception is great!

Rarely have problems with dropped calls in and around Nashville. Have been very happy with the service, including customer service (then again, I suppose the time to really comment on customer service is when one is unhappy about something).

No reception inside my place unless I stand at the window. Even then, one bar.

I've been with T-Mobile (including Voicestream and before that, Powertel) since '01. I've always been pretty happy with the coverage in Nashville, but since Sept '08, my wife and I could not get reliable coverage in our own home 1 mile from downtown. This hadn't been a problem for several years in the same location. T-Mobile kept saying that they were working on the tower. A year later, the problem didn't get any better. Good customer service means nothing if they won't let you out of a contract when you can't even talk in your own home. We're dropping T-Mobile in December.

Reception at my complex is ridiculous. Depending on where I am in my bedroom, it goes out. My roommate has got it even worse and typically ends up going outside. I've had my reception just die for hours on end, unable to send / receive anything. I'm almost convinced it has something to do with the airport. I've had Verizon in Nashville for years now and this is the only location I've consistently had a problem. Heading more towards Hermitage or downtown (basically away from the airport) returns things to normal.

I sometimes get 1 bar inside, but constantly drop calls. It's no better outside in the yard. The only way to be sure not to drop a call is to go upstairs and stand next to a south-facing window. What a pain! Where's the cell towers? This is the largest subdivision in TN!

Ocassionally when there's no clouds, I can get 1 bar on 3rd floor under the skylight. I get no bars outside in front or back yard or on 1st and 2nd floors. This causes battery drain, which shortens the life of my battery!

I have little to no reception in these homes. it sucks. I miss calls all the time and my texts come through 2 hours later. I'm stuck in a contract. My girlfriend has a cricket and she doesn't have a problem only I do. That's messed up when someone gets better reception on a cricket phone!

My Problem is I just moved here to Nashville with a Prepay Plan. and to make a call I have to dial the number twice to place a call caused Alltel is switching over to Verizon Towers. They can't tell me how long it will take. My Phone area code is 813 and would love to get the area code changed to Nashville. when you call Alltel customer service every operator you get to talk to has a accent from the beautiful country of the filipines and they are very rude, will hang up on you and they will not let you talk to a supervisor. They also tell you that if you switch over to Nashville area code I might have The same *Problem*

Had reception when I first moved. For the last two months... I get ZERO reception from home. T-Mobile seems to be insisting that the problem is my phone. However, my girlfriends phone stopped receiving a signal also. I also experience alot of dropped calls elsewhere in the city. I'm extremely unhappy with the coverage of Tmobile. When with Sprint, I had no problems with coverage. If you can deal with the lack of customer service, you should certainly consider going with sprint. Even if customer service is a problem, you will find yourself having to contact them much less.
