Cricket
I have had Cricket for 1.5 years and still can't get service. Cricket SUCKS because they won't let me out of my stupid 2-yr. Contract. There company lies to you telling you can get service anywhere in Knoxville. I would never recommed Cricket to anyone.

Cingular service is poor. Lucky to get 1 bar at my house but only standing on my head in the far corner of my yard during a full moon. Many dropped calls all around the city. Voicemails without ever ringing.Verizon and US Cellular both work well where Cingular has no service.

No reception is common. As I work here, it is unreliable to use a cell phone in this location

Cingular has the worst reception in the Powell area of any cell phone service I have ever used. It stinks as well in most of East TN too. Many "known" dead zones where we warn the person we're talking to while 'riding' in the car that we're coming up on a dead spot and may lose them. Every other service is better there be it Nextel (still on 3-4 bars), Cricket (almost all bars) T-Mobile (all bars) or Verizon (almost all bars, no dropped calls). And this is besides the fact that their billing every single month was incorrect!

5 out of 5 cell phones with US Cellular had all bars available with US Cellular in the Powell community near Knoxville, TN. I turned the Motorola 120 on the other and every bar was showing, this was on December 26, 2005. Also the only cell phone service I could use out at ORNL even in the basement where I work. Not so with Cingular or Nextel even now. Cingular is useless in the Powell, TN area with 1-2 bars at most with many dropped calls and major dead spots everywhere.

In the west end of the ORNL campus, Verizon's reception is OK outdoors in most areas, but there are dead zones. Indoors, it ranges from OK to nonexistent. I have less experience in the east campus area, but generally it is better there.

This phone is my work phone, home phone, cell phone, etc. I have been with Cingular for ten years starting with the Bell South Mobility Days to present. I have never had as much trouble as I have this past year. Since the merger with AT&T wireless the reception has gone downhill. My wife and I are going to switch, but we are still deciding who we are going to use. We can't go on like this however: dropping calls, muffled voices, repeating ourselves over and over and over. It is ridiculous! My contract with Cingular is up this month so we are out of here! Looks like we are going to go with Verizon right now, but we will see.
