Zero service to faint intermittent service in this area for about a 1-2 mike radius. No service gatsoecer if you’re inside the dollar general on Boyd’s Bridge Rd, or driving past it. Very frustrating. Calls drop, can’t use gps or anything requiring cell data for that matter. We’re only 3-4 miles from downtown knoxville so what gives?!

T-Mobile

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Boruff Rd. | Emory, Corryton, TN 37721 |

I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile about a month ago to cut my phone bill in half. At first my signal at home and close neighborhood was very weak and also weak around Gibbs High school area, but I had great 4-5 bar signal away from home and at work. So I called T-Mobile and they said they would send me a signal booster for my home and they would have a T-Mobile engineer check the area around my neighborhood to see if signal could be improved. To my very much surprise 5 days later my signal has improved dramatically in my neighborhood and at Gibbs High School area. Plus T-Mobile did overnight me a signal booster that improved my LTE signal at home to a full 5 bars with very fast speeds 94Mbps download and 25Mbps upload. I couldn’t be happier with my T-Mobile service. If you have a problem with your T-Mobile service give them a call, Representatives are very eager to help and hopefully you will have the same wonderful results as I have.

I was in town to celebrate Christmas and wanted to update my mothers cell phone. I ended up switching carriers, getting new phones and meeting the most knowledgeable people in the business. I can't say enough about Ben Kozick, and Lauren and Klye from the knoxville store. In their words, “we will make it happen”... ..and they do! Go see them they prove they want your business over and over again! Kat

Sprint

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Cedar Bluff Rd. | Park West Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37923 |

Not a particularly strong signal (2 -3 bars), but Sprint is very consistent where I live. No dropped calls ever, and signal clarity is very good. What's funny is that the other side of Cedar Bluff has a signal twice as strong but no faster.

I have lived in same home for 10 years, Sprint service for 8 years. For over the past month I have had 1 bar on phone service, and disconnected calls, some that don't show til hours later, even text! It is bad not being able to place or receive calls, due to I am disabled with many health problems and my cell phone is my life line! My mom lives in Ohio 86 years old taken to hospital with chest pains how upset I was and stressed when very hard to speak with family due to service! It is not my phone or carrier been through all that, and nothing electronically has been changed in my home. PLEASE FiX CELL TOWeR ! Thanks

AT&T

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Emory Valley Rd. | Baltimore Rd., Oak Ridge, TN 37830 |

Cell coverage in the Tennessee mountains, or any others for that matter, is sporadic at best and dismal far too often. I currently have AT&T and have the best speeds (typically 35Mbps of 4GLTE in town) and coverage I have had with the three carriers I have tried over the years, plus AT&T provided a free microcell with no added service charge when I complained, the other carriers did nothing like that. I had Verizon and US Cellular here in Oak Ridge previously and they all had spotty service here as well, so I have simply stuck with AT&T ever since. I have read reviews to see if other carriers give any better coverage and they do not, plus I have the microcell with which I get 5 bars at home all the time, which is where you really need it so often. There is no reason to switch to other carriers over and over, they will all give spotty coverage in mountainous areas, but isn't that one of the reasons we continue to live here? I'm sticking with AT&T.

Metro PCS should be named metro pos I had no service unless I was connected to our Wi-Fi and if the power went out I was sol I switched to us cellular and ended up having to get a new phone. Which I hate because its very small after switching from the ZTE max pro. So I'm currently looking for a sim that uses gsm instead of cdma
