I live on the side of a ridge and can see a cell tower from my house, yet my reception is not consistant with this phone and Verizon service. Sometimes I don't recieve calls and sometimes people tell me they can't hear me clearly. I previously had no problems with U.S. Cellular at my house. I am switching back to USC.Was this review helpful to you?
With all the towers around I'm shocked with no service in the house. If you go toward Washington Pike or Millertown Pike, you will get perfect reception. Was this review helpful to you?
I have a Monthly4G plan with T-Mobile and I get great 4G service in Knoxville (where I work)... but in Oak Ridge I only get the EDGE network. This is ridiculously slow. Speed test shows about 10KB download speed in Oak Ridge. In Knoxville, I can get 3000KB download speed. T-Mobile needs to get 4G into Oak Ridge or I QUIT!Was this review helpful to you?
Singal strength barely registers on phone "bar" graph. Calls frequently drop. Sometimes when the phone is on, a 911 calls only message appears. This is a significant change from previous signal strengths, even with the SAME phone, just a few months ago.Was this review helpful to you?
I can't recieve or make a phone call (on WiFi either) or retrieve text messages. Very frustrating. Was this review helpful to you?
We switched from Verizon to Sprint to cut our bill while still getting all the things we had before. Sprint came highly recommended by several of our friends so we made the switch. Big mistake. The reception at our house is aweful. With Verizon it was perfect, so I never imagined I would have aweful service with Sprint. When I am out and about, the service is usually fine. But I would like to be able to use my own phone in my own house! And I cant without the call being dropped several times. We can't wait for the contract to be up in 2 years so we can switch back to Verizon. I will gladly pay the higher bill for Verizon to get reliable cell service. We really wish we hadn't switched. Was this review helpful to you?
Phones pick up great when close to Knoxville (5 bars of 4g service, blazing fast). BUT when in the Gibbs / Corryton area, it bounces between NO Service and 2 bars of 2g service. It drops calls inside and outside. Very limited and choppy service in this area. I am planning to return the phones. I also have some AT&T phones which get decent coverage, but the T-Mobile coverage is very poor in this area. Was this review helpful to you?
Good reception (usually about 3 bars of 3g) in the Gibbs / Corryton area when I am outside. Inside my home, it picks up near a window, but will drop calls if I walk around in my house. Was this review helpful to you?
Poor reception when you move away from door or window more than a few feetWas this review helpful to you?
