Verizon
Excellent reception all over campus, partly because Verizon has some panels on top of Apollo's Greek Kitchen on 13th and High that cover all of south / central campus. Five bars almost everywhere... haven't seen no service yet!

I have had good reception since switching from SprintPCS to Cingular out near my house.

Reception is phenomenal when compared to other carriers. Cingular's use of the 850 mhz radio frequency really separates them from their competitors as it not only has better in-building penetration but consistently produces full bars. Former AT&T customers and existing T-Mobile customers take note because while both company's utilized the same technology currently employed by cingular, they did not utilize this frequency.

dropped calls abound on riverside drive, spotty coverage in surburban areas including 161 west. cut off is severe 20 minutes out on 33 NW other side of marysville.

Very good reception just about everywhere. Always worked well except some areas of lecture halls and libraries, but that's to be expected. Reception in dorms and other buildings is otherwise great. Very satisfied with overall service.

Within my apartment and also outside, I am lucky to get a 1 bar reception within a 1 / 4 to 1 / 2 mile radius of where I live (Tamarack circle is located between Cleveland and Karl 1 mile south of 161). 50% of the time I cannot get reception for both incoming and outgoing calls. 80% of my calls from here are dropped within 5 minutes of connecting. I highly DISCOURAGE getting T-Mobile as a carrier! I've written and spoken with them and they are unfriendly and rude and unwilling to work or please their customers. I give the company an overall rating of F!

works well except when in my apartment and other thick buildings. i've had sprint, at&t, and now Alltel and they are all about the same. Sprint customer service is by far the worst... but that's a different category. thinking about switching to verizon, cincular, or t mobile

I have had T-Mobile for 24 months now and have never had a dropped call in the Columbus Area. Unlike Sprint or Verizon. I can even walk thru unground garages. I wish the GSM world would have more rural coverage like the two mention above.

Reception is good throughout 270 corridor, however there is a longstanding deadspot on Thurman ave at Jaeger. Everytime I drive past this spot the call is dropped. Good reception inside buildings. I'm considering switching to GSM just to modernize and also because my 2 year old Nokia has recently developed volume issues (the caller can't be heard if there is any background noise).

I have had Cingular for a little over a year now and have always had good reception; I have never dropped a call. I used to live in Worthington (43235) and I had really good service there, even inside buildings. I've noticed that in some apartment buildings here on campus (including my own) I don't get good service, but I think that is just a hazard of cell phones in general - regardless of maunfacturer or carrier. I will say that I get service in places that a lot of my friends don't - like the basements of buildings and inside the mall - but I think a lot of that is thanks to my phone, not Cingular.
