Sprint
Calls drop all the time. Calls often don't connect nicely the first few times, and start out distorted with nasty echoes. Two or three tries sometimes improves things. We switched from AT&T, which turns out was vastly superior. We used iPhones on both carriers, as well as QWERTY sliders. Quality issues exist on both phone models.

In Grove city we get TONS of dropped calls, or in coming calls never get through at all. But GC is not the only problem. My daughter goes to Capital University, her service there is TERRIBLE! She can't use her phone in her dorm rom at all. Sprint offered to send me one of the AirWave things but I'd have to pay $100 for it! Also, while traveling just today, my husband was trying to communicate with his off ice, he had 5 dropped calls in 2 hours! I don't really know what to do next!

We switched from Verizon to Sprint a year and a half ago and have in essence gone from having a mobile phone service to not having one at all (we are still paying the bill though). In short, Sprint is a joke do not do business with Sprint. I travel around the country routinely and have found that Columbus is not unique in this regard, either.

Recently moved to the area and have very limited service. There are no incoming calls, webpages load at a rate so slow they normally expire before the page loads. After 4 days of experiencing multiple missed calls and non existent web service I made a decision to find a phone service I could retain my old phone number, Family Mobile seemed like a reasonable option after speaking with several other companys. So I switched, after 12 years of service with Sprint. When I got home I called Sprint from my fully functioning Family Mobile phone powered by TMobile, that didnt go as I expected. I thought I would call up and they would say that they had several reports and that they were working to get the problem fixed... . Oh my, to my suprise it went more like this... The first CSR was not much help she transfered me to another CSR who wanted to be helpful but couldnt much more than vaguely describe the 390 dollar Early Termination fee... So I asked to speak with a Manager, 48 minutes later, I spoke with someone who couldnt do much more than the first two. Finally I recieved a call from some that could clearly explain why I was being charged for leaving a company that expected payment for services they couldnt provide. I was assured that if I brought my phone service back to Sprint that the 390 dollar fee would be waived. I was also assured that a test would be done to check the service in the area.. I said great, send him to my house and I would show him my phone doesn't work here.. After realizing I was talking with a company that didnt care about me or my service issues I think I will just stick with 2 phone lines through Family Mobile powered by TMobile and the 119 dollar a month savings. Sprint, the 390 dollar fee will be the best money Ive ever spent with you... good bye and good riddance.

Just going through a second round of a total change in reception from my Sprint service. Very annoying. No incoming ring, sporadic service, 50% dropped calls. Customer service was very nice and told me what was wrong but had to refer me to another department to give me credit. Then I looked at all the bad reviews for ALL the carriers and decided to look at the tower locations. WOW. Hardly any towers around a the downtown area of a major American city, the capital of the state, dense with government employees and working people and surrounded by affluent neighborhoods like Bexley, German Village, Grandview. WHat's up with that? There are huge events and concerts almost every weekend and not one carrier has enough towers to carry the capacity.Aren't we paying enough? They seem to be more concerned with market share and advetising cool products than providing a good service.

The worst service ever. People say they call me and my phone never rings. Text messages not sending, not receiving, emergency calls only. 2 refurbished phones and a brand-new never used different model phone later still the same problem. AT&T is the worst. I have been with them for years and relocated. The coverage in Columbus is awful. Their customer service is the worst. They recommend upgrading and another 2-year agreement. Mind you I have Samsung Galaxy III - upgrade to what? I don't have a darn flip phone.

I have been using AT n T for almost an year now. I am amazed that the reception is so poor. Even inside my apartment, the signal reception is mostly non-existent. Being an communication engineer I would rate the quality of the service at below satisfaction.
