Sprint
Seeing that I use Virgin Mobile and they use the Sprint towers this service sucks in my area. Not only that but all cell phones suck in this area. Why? I dont know, but I wish they would do something about it. Works fine in Downtown cleveland, other places I get maybe 3-4 bars, but it constantly goes up and down.

I've been on Sprint for many years, but once I moved here the recption is awful. their analytics show that 51% of my calls are dropped and I'll receive a text up to a week later. They blame it on a "dead zone" for Sprint in this area.

I Actually Have Virgin Mobile Service, which is on the Sprint network. My Friend has Boost Mobile, we both get GREAT coverage in this area, even in our homes, which most carriers signals do not remain steady in our homes

AT&T
Just bought the new Apple iPhone 5 with LTE service - blazing fast speeds and amazing coverage! I used the Ookla Speed Test app to test download and upload speeds with the Comcast server in Detroit. Top download speed was 55.78 Mbps and upload speed was 22.87 Mbps. I have performed about 20 tests in the last week at various times of the day on different days and averaged 43.56 Mbps down and 18.70 up. I'm very impressed with AT&T's service! In addition, whenever LTE is not available, it falls back to the 4G HSPA+ network (which Verizon doesn't have), and then falls back to 3G as a last resort. Smart plan on AT&T's part vs Verizon in deploying multiple layers of "4G speeds." When LTE is not available for Verizon, you have to fall back on their slow 3G network (which is already slower than AT&T's 3G network).

As of August 2012 my service went from marginal to non existant. It was never good, but I now have no bars in my house and an erratic 1 or 2 bars when I step outside. My phone works well outside of the Chagrin area. Something has to have changed with AT&T coverage in the area.

Verizon
Reception at Case, in the area around Adelbert Road, is hit or miss. Outside, in the middle of the road or Quad, its fairly good (3-4 bars). However, as soon as you stray into one of the academic buildings or University Hospitals, expect 1-0 bars. I'm a Case student and its fairly common to have no service on this side of campus or in the health sciences complex. You can get lucky if you're in one of the taller buildings and standing next to a window, but in a classroom on a ground floor? Forget it. Talked to a bunch of friends and it seems that Verizon and AT&T is the worst. Sprint is marginally better (maybe +1 bar) and I don't know anyone with T-Mobile.

Sprint
the reception I recieve on my street in cleveland heights is unsatisfying(lownesdale) I even have problems in other places such as the lakeshore area of cleveland also in lorain county I really want to go back to Verizon I had few problems out of them. Sprint should add more towers or something.

AT&T
Reception at home is rarely two bars, mostly 1 bar or none at all! Calls always drop when driving accompanied by a loud beep in my ear - happens with blue-tooth and phone. AT&T replaced my Pantech Ease after 4-1 / 2 months and the new Pantech has the same problem. I do not use a data plan, just phone / text. Very frustrating!

Sprint
My Sprint service has been the worst service I have had. I switched in 2011 to Sprint do to marginal coverage with Verizon. Big mistake, I even have the Airave that Sprint sent out for free versus Verizon wanting to charge me.I had been with Alltel for so many years and with the buy out from Verizon, my phone service did not work well at all. Now that I have Sprint my phone coverage is terrible. I am really not sure who will be my next service provider. I may have to do a pay as you go plan until I can decide.

Sprint
Complain about your reception and threaten to cancle your plan. They should offer you an Airrave. You should not have to pay for it. Tell them you've been a good customer and you don't want to switch but you can not use your phone. Airrave plugs into your cable modem and is easy to install.

Verizon
I've been a Verizon customer for 4 out of 5 years. Not sure what happened in 2010, but since then, my reception at home has been terrible-- usually zero bars. Live in the same house, haven't encased it in lead or anything. A year after their merger, I've been getting zero bars 90% of the time, dropped calls, the whole shebang. I live just a mile west of downtown, don't understand what happened. I've wiped phones, tried a new one, same old story. Something has changed on their network for the worse. I've tested other carriers phones and they seemed to work better, maybe it is time to change...

While sitting in my office, near a window I will go from 4-5 bars to 1 or none, without moving! Often I will get a voicemail but not have a missed call due to the reception. Very frustrating! Also while in the Philadelphia airport, I continually experienced dropped calls even when by a window when trying to contact my travel agent to rebook a cancelled flight. That was the last straw and I am changing providers.

Verizon
I bought a property and am building a home across the street from Lake Erie but none of the workers who have Verizon can get a signal. They have to get in their trucks and drive to call their boss. My husband and I both have Verizon and were told by Verizon that we need a signal repeater but none are available and they are not sure when they will be. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

Sprint
I do not get cell reception in my house - must go outside when making / receiving a call. Seems to work well outside. Have been a Sprint customer for 4 years, but since there has been no improvement in coverage, am seriously thinking of changing carriers. Any suggestions? I do not use a data plan, only talk / text.

AT&T
Reception around campus is awesome! I have excellent 3G coverage everywhere. I get a perfect signal in almost all of my classrooms and a perfect signal in my res hall (top of the hill). Also had perfect signal in both res hall's I've stayed in on North side.

Verizon
I miss Alltel. My verizion service was great then one day a few months ago the data portion just went to hell. I have been swapped THREE times and Verizon reps treat me like I am full of B.S. Fact is, my phone went from a great data connection to a horrible one with no warning. One rep called this the "Cleveland Re-Home Issue" and told me to open a trouble ticket. Well, I did and they closed it without even calling me and when I called in for an update they gave me some canned BS about "reception isn't guaranteed when you are indoors." Thanks for not even caring about what my problem is, Verizon. You suck!

Verizon
Verizon service was great until august 2010! Tech support will not help with dropped calls and poor reception. I hope a class action lawsuit will be brought about. How can a company provide great service then fall to the bottom when you have a two year contract with them.

T-Mobile
For the past 6 months no reception at all on Fairmount, from Richmond Rd.to Warrensville Circle going westbound and from Green Rd.to Brainard going eastbound! SOS calls only. AlthoughTmobile's customer service is usually really good for other things, they were quite unsympathetic, telling me that is a known trouble spot. I have been a T-Mobile customer for almost 4 years and will be switching.

Excellent reception, almost always full bars of 3G outside and in most of my house. I even pick up around 3 bars in my basement.

Sprint
Sprint is great in Downtown Cleveland, however, I do run into problems heading east towards Cleveland Heights area... barely have one or two bars there... Still, I rarely have problems, and I am very satisfied with Sprint's service.

Sprint
Reception with Sprint is very poor. Calls drop all the time. One bar at best.. Need new towers badly. Why buy a new 4G phone if you don;t have access to the 3G network?
