I was a long time Verizon customer until I moved to Bay Village. With Verizon, I would constantly drop calls, service was very spotty - especially by the lake. With Verizon I would get one bar signal outside, and zero bars inside the house. Data connections with Verizon simply do not work in Bay Village. Driving through Avon Lake I would get zero coverage. I called Verizon and they told me to get better coverage I would have to upgrade to a smartphone - and extend my contract. I got a 30 day trial phone from Sprint (Epic 4G Touch), and it solved my coverage problems completely. 4G access, very fast. With Sprint I get 3-4 bars in the house, 5 bars outside. If you live in Bay Village and you want great cell phone coverage, look no further than Sprint. It works very well.

the reception I recieve on my street in cleveland heights is unsatisfying(lownesdale) I even have problems in other places such as the lakeshore area of cleveland also in lorain county I really want to go back to Verizon I had few problems out of them. Sprint should add more towers or something.

Reception at home is rarely two bars, mostly 1 bar or none at all! Calls always drop when driving accompanied by a loud beep in my ear - happens with blue-tooth and phone. AT&T replaced my Pantech Ease after 4-1 / 2 months and the new Pantech has the same problem. I do not use a data plan, just phone / text. Very frustrating!

Can only get reception if I stand at a window or on the front porch - when I called ATT was told they do not guarantee reception in any builidng (not told when signing contract of course). But they will sell me a booster for $100... .. whereas my son in NC go one free for the same problem... I will not get ATT again - poor service and no customer service.

I wish it still was an Alltel... ... Verizon was ok but Sprint is by far the worst service I ever had I call twice a week and they keep sayn a tower is down... ..well when is it ever gne be fixed there 4g sucks whn it is on if ever ppl please Dnt get this service if u where in trouble n needed help ur phone will tell u the network is busy I wish I could sue them I was promised great internet service in my area n I get nothng but web page temporary down I HATE SPRINT ! THIS IS I MISS Alltel N I APPROVE DIS MESSAGE THANKS 4 READN

Dead zone in Bay Landing condo area. I was able to get out of my contract. Supposedly they are building a new tower near Prince of Peace Lutheran on Center Ridge Rd. Hopefully that will help?

My Sprint service has been the worst service I have had. I switched in 2011 to Sprint do to marginal coverage with Verizon. Big mistake, I even have the Airave that Sprint sent out for free versus Verizon wanting to charge me.I had been with Alltel for so many years and with the buy out from Verizon, my phone service did not work well at all. Now that I have Sprint my phone coverage is terrible. I am really not sure who will be my next service provider. I may have to do a pay as you go plan until I can decide.

I really hope this helps other people. I have been a customer of Verizon for over 12 Years but ITS TIME to change companies. The service is horrible for the amount of money they charge for services. I was told I was not getting a good signal because I had an older phone, I thought it was bull but I did what the sales people told me to do and got a NEW SMARTPHONE! The service, connection, dropped calls, late or missing Voice mails still exist with the new phone. I knew it was a CROCK but I really didn't want to go through the hassle of making a change, but now I am. They are quick to disconnect your phone and charge a reconnect fee even though they know the services they are providing now SUCK. I've given them every chance to make things right but even their customer service is customer DIS-SERVICE. Find the lowest price plan available and I'm sure your service will be as good or maybe even better then Verizon is NOW! I only wish I knew which company I should go with. Everyone tells me Metro PCS but they are not local!

Complain about your reception and threaten to cancle your plan. They should offer you an Airrave. You should not have to pay for it. Tell them you've been a good customer and you don't want to switch but you can not use your phone. Airrave plugs into your cable modem and is easy to install.
