Seeing that I use Virgin Mobile and they use the Sprint towers this service sucks in my area. Not only that but all cell phones suck in this area. Why? I dont know, but I wish they would do something about it. Works fine in Downtown cleveland, other places I get maybe 3-4 bars, but it constantly goes up and down.

I have dropped calls. If you can get reception in your house you can not move or your call will drop. Text messages almost never get sent.If you call in the car it takes about 1the street block before it starts to ring. Work in downtown cleveland and also have bad reception. Called verzion and have gone to there store for help just get told they need more towers. My neighbors have the same problem with verzion in the area.In our house we have 4 different verzion phone s with the same problem.

AT&T

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Case Western Reserve University Campus | Murray Hill Rd., Cleveland, OH 44106 |

Just bought the new Apple iPhone 5 with LTE service - blazing fast speeds and amazing coverage! I used the Ookla Speed Test app to test download and upload speeds with the Comcast server in Detroit. Top download speed was 55.78 Mbps and upload speed was 22.87 Mbps. I have performed about 20 tests in the last week at various times of the day on different days and averaged 43.56 Mbps down and 18.70 up. I'm very impressed with AT&T's service! In addition, whenever LTE is not available, it falls back to the 4G HSPA+ network (which Verizon doesn't have), and then falls back to 3G as a last resort. Smart plan on AT&T's part vs Verizon in deploying multiple layers of "4G speeds." When LTE is not available for Verizon, you have to fall back on their slow 3G network (which is already slower than AT&T's 3G network).

I'm being generous at "poor". I'm having calls that won't go through, calls that are dropped, voice dropping out, etc. AT&T suggested a microcell, and admitted that several of my neighbors have them. The AT&T coverage map shows "excellent" 4G coverage, but I'm not getting it. I walk around outside, and it's the same. They should update the coverage map or change the actual coverage (install a new antenna, tune what they have, etc.); calling my area "excellent" borders on false advertising.

T-Mobile

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Sheldon and Graton Intersection | Sheldon and Grayton Roads, Berea, OH 44017 |

Moved to Berea in June and reception is horrible. Been told by cusromer service if they get enough complaints they may do something about this problem. 1 bar sometime, usually none. Dropped calls always. Been with T-Mobile for nine years trying to get out of contract.

Sprint

Lately, I have been getting very poor reception in that a slight movement of the wrist can send bars from max. to zero. Very unstable reception in my home which used to be excellent in downtown Lakewood. I am having the same problem with 3g and 4g. A couple of times I totally lost phone and data connections. Verizon

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Case / Adelbert Rd., Cleveland, OH 44106 |

Reception at Case, in the area around Adelbert Road, is hit or miss. Outside, in the middle of the road or Quad, its fairly good (3-4 bars). However, as soon as you stray into one of the academic buildings or University Hospitals, expect 1-0 bars. I'm a Case student and its fairly common to have no service on this side of campus or in the health sciences complex. You can get lucky if you're in one of the taller buildings and standing next to a window, but in a classroom on a ground floor? Forget it. Talked to a bunch of friends and it seems that Verizon and AT&T is the worst. Sprint is marginally better (maybe +1 bar) and I don't know anyone with T-Mobile.
