In the house, I get decent service, except when there is a major event nearby. During Arts Beats and Eats festival, I had no service for hours at a time during the four day event. Tonight I am at 12 Mile Rd in Royal Oak and have zero bars, keeps dropping calls.

When people hear me on the phone it sound like I'm underwater or that I'm some sort of fish. I'm lucky when I can get any sort of reception at all.

Reception has always been spotty, now it's non-existant. My wife's phone has never had service here at home. We're looking for a different carrier

Fine reception in terms of bars, but the calls drop constantly and fade. Fine for texting, and terrible for talking! Very frustrating. Verizon worked fine at this location.

If you're from Detroit's west side, specifically the Warrendale area, and you're considering T-Mobile, please don't. The cell service is absolutely awful and virtually nonexistent. I frequently visit my parents who live in Warrendale, and when I visit, T-Mobile has absolutely no service in the western neighborhoods. I find this completely ridiculous and unacceptable. You mean to tell me that a major cell service provider does not have any service in a major metropolitan area?! I've called and complained and T-Mobile never helped at all, forwarding me to call centers over seas where I can barely understand the foreign call center representatives. I understand that it's not the representative's fault, and all they can tell me to do is turn off my phone, take the sim card out, and restart it. I do so and I still get no service. Furthermore, after enough complaining, T-Mobile said they'd send out a technician to install some type of cell phone booster that would be plugged into the wall of my parents house. The date came and went and no technician ever showed up, and T-Mobile didn't even call me to inform me that they wouldn't. I have a second phone, a Metro PCS, and that cheap service provider gets much, much better service than T-Mobile. To conclude, T-Mobile's cell service and customer service is completely unacceptable and absolutely pathetic. I tell everyone to never, ever consider T-Mobile if you live in the metro Detroit area, because besides downtown, you will not get consistent, strong service anywhere; and in the west side Detroit neighborhoods you will get no service at all. Consider any other service provider besides T-Mobile.

Verizon always works in Macomb Co. I was just here to look at the maps of the towers and needed twenty words. WHOOOP!

No service at all today, although my phone shows 2-3 bars. Phone keeps dialing, then finally says "Network busy". Can't find any info online about an outage.

I have had Sprint service for over 10 years. They were the best BEFORE they merged with Nextel. Since the merger the service has been up and down. I have had a lot of different phones and it depends on the phone and the area you live in that determines your reception. All the companies know this and they should recommend phones that works best in your area.

4G Coverage at my house is pretty good with me getting 3-4 bars all the way from my basement to my attic. I have occasionally dropped calls with an older 3G Android phone though. Being a WSU student 4G coverage on campus is much better than 3G for some reason. I get better coverage in fringe areas(basements). In some buildings I get 5 full bars even in the center of campus. I'm beginning to think WSU has repeaters on campus to improve cell coverage.

Good Luck on any floor or elevator in the Town Center.
