No 4G one bar at most. Worst service ever. 4 phones. 3 Samsung galaxy 3, and 1 htc merge. It used to be great until 6 mos. ago. Now we cant even make a call. Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint service is garbage. This is 2012 and my phone cant even load a MOBILE OPTIMZED website without wifi. I dont understand how they are getting any customers. Take some of the marketing money, build more towers and make my phone usable. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is 2 bars, non-3g, non-4g, on a device with CDMA(3G) and LTE(4G) enabled. This area is between two towers, and for a bit I could get 3G coverage and 4G if I enabled that functionality. I don't have need of 4G very much so usually leave that disabled as LTE functionality seems to use a lot of power. Typically 3G is good for CR and my phone uses, but lately in the last week, signal strength has fallen off. I need to get Verizon to verify my phone has not developed a problem, but from what I can tell 3G and 4G across Linn county is having problems. Come on Verizon Wireless, live up to your advertizing of "hear me now" and make good coverage possible everyplace. Personally I think someone needs to take the cell phone carriers to task for gap between their advertized coverage, and what we end up realistically having. It is very frustrating. Not to mention I've gone through three androids to get a good one... Motorola Droid Max (power issues, used 30 day swap policy), HTC Rezound (continuous restart problem, warrenty swap), HTC Rezound (still working, have to reset it from time to time though by pulling the battery). Was this review helpful to you?
depends on the time of day, early evening no bars can't make or get any callsWas this review helpful to you?
I live in the NE part of cedar rapids (Hiawatha) and work downtown. It might be the buildings and it might be the reception but I get intermittent signals in the NE and throughout the day. During work hours it will work until noon and then completely disconnect from the network. I have clicked "don't ask again" for roaming options however it pops up every few minutes (haha). Wireless works 100% when I turn off the network. So, now that we've narrowed down the problem... I would say It's a good phone, nice people work at sprint, but here's the problem: Cell Towers. This is a problem, not only on sprint, but on multiple carriers in this area. It's also a problem with cable and internet companies. I feel that they need to prioritize their budget and do a census of their customers to garner some trust and know how much money they need. They could also use this data to find out where they need to put the towers etc.Was this review helpful to you?
Very weak 3G signal. Ping is 1000ms download is about 0-49kbps upload is 0-15kbps. Has been this way for months. Sprint submitted a "ticket" a month ago but nothing has changed. Was this review helpful to you?
I get great reception and 3G data speeds at my house in Marion (I'm pretty sure the tower I'm using is in the farm field about 3 blocks from my house), but at work near the address above I get 4+ bars but around 20kbps max data rate and tons of network errors! This is consistent, no matter the time of day. Seems like Sprint has a serious problem with their tower in NE Cedar Rapids. Maybe they can get the people who run the one in Marion to fix it?Was this review helpful to you?
This is actually about IWireless - I tried to use them for about 2 weeks. Had one of each of their modems die due to overheating, the 3'd modem lasted long enough it was still working when I canceled their service. Signal strength was decent where I was at for EDGE, but I never saw a whiff of ANY 3G signal from IWireless (I did see AT&T 3g signal but wasn't allowed to roam to it) despite their map showing my address being WELL within their "good coverage" area. Data rates were insanely low - I've seen better out of a 9600 baud DIALUP connection most of the time - and the LAG issues were insane most of the time. I learned taht Pings can last 20 MINUTES before they come back if you're patient enough - never saw 20 SECOND pings on any dialup connection I ever had. These people are absolutely THE WORST excuse for a so-called cell company I've ever heard of. The ONLY saving grace they have is that they WILL honor their 30 day moneyback guarentee if you complain about it enough - but don't expect your money back soon, expect it to take MONTHS to get it all back. Was this review helpful to you?
Signal varies in my house (1-3 bars 3G, 3-4 bars on Edge), but when I get outside and on the streets the signal jumps to 5 bars on 3G. Usually stays at full signal anywhere in Cedar Rapids. Was this review helpful to you?
Horrible reception. Can't place or receive calls, and texts are spotty at best. Reception is great elsewhere, but Urbana is a dead zone for Verizon. Was this review helpful to you?
