i love this phone. I recently had cingular, and they had ok reception but it cost to darn much. I switched to Sprint and with the fair and flexible plan they work with my budget abd if I use 200 of my 1,000, I only pay 29.99 for the mins I used not the full price! the reception for my Sprint is awesome! Was this review helpful to you?
I used to have great service with AT&T but ever since Cingular bought them out I got NO reception at my house or at work. I spoke with someone at T-Mobile and was told that they have excellent coverage in Franklin and Brookfield. Since those locations are the two places that I really need to use my phone I decided to give it a try. BIG mistake! T-Mobile sucks just as much as having non-exsisting phone service. I have no reception at home, driving to work, at work and just about EVERY where else, oh except in Mayfair mall. That seems to be the only place I have a signal. I started out using a Motorola phone then tried a Samsung phone. After two unsuccessful attempts to get a signal, the sales manager actually gave me HIS phone (Nokia) to take back to work with me to test the signal - NOTHING. I'm not sure what to do at this point. However, everyone in my office has at least 3 bars on their phone with Verizon. Maybe i'll give that a try... I won't hold my breath. Was this review helpful to you?
I have great service everywhere except in this area. It is close to an airport, so Cingular uses that excuse on me. My roommate is on Sprint, and his works fine. I also have a Nextel phone for work, and it works fine at home. Was this review helpful to you?

Cingular coverage is horrible. if you plan on doing business with your phone go to Verizon. you can't hold a phone call for more than 5 min. GSM sucks! if you are in GSM area you still get dropped calls and if your not in GSM your dead..Was this review helpful to you?
Something's happened to Cingular. Signal's just going away in places it used to be strong -- from dowtown Milwaukee to the North Shore suburbs. Ditto for assorted parts of U.S. where I travel regularly. Increasingly bad. Also, apparently all Cingular employees have been administered the same Koolaid -- they say, "Really? We haven't heard about poor reception." Odd. Time for a new plan, don't you think? Was this review helpful to you?
Where I live is right next to the tower but I get great reception anyplace. I love this phone - it's very old - and TMobile. By any place I mean Western Europe, the Mediterranean and Central America. And I pay a modest amount per minute when I'm in those places. No charge for the basic GSM service except the usual monthly charge for however many minutes. (I subscriber for 500 but never use them because of the free weekends) There are parts of the US - and even Wisconsin, just west of Madison, where I have momentary blank spots. But, never in Europe. I think this is still DeutscheTelecom. Was this review helpful to you?
T-Mobile has a very competitive regional plan (3000 anytime minutes for $49.00), however, I find that the reception is below average. When in some buildings, collegues have good reception with their phones and I get none. Forget about using the phone in much of Elm Grove and parts of Wauwatosa. Between Madison and Milwaukee it is very poor. Between Milwaukee and Lake Geneva, reception is very poor. In much of northern Wisconsin -- forget about it. The customer service with T-Mobile is excellent. Remember, my review is with the regional plan which, I believe, uses a different technology than the national plan. Was this review helpful to you?
