AT&T

My phone from Cingular sucks. Almost every call I have to redial, get a dropped signal or can barely hear. I am going to switch to US Cellular or Verizon.

Phone was out on the summer fest grounds for three days rude customer service

Worst. Phone service. Ever. I purchased a phone and they told me, because I moved from Chicago to Milwaukee, that I could still keep my old ZIP in Chicago. However, the phone did not work in my home. It worked everywhere else pretty much, but not at home. They then told me, after I asked to get out of the contract because I was unable to use the phone, that in many cases the phone does not work if you keep a number from antoehr city. I had also purchased a phone for my mom still in Chicago. I was paying for two phones monthly but not using mine at all. Their rep told me the phones don't have to work and service is not guaranteed. I was astonished. After tiring of their "lines" I cancelled the service at a whopping cost of $300. I felt I'd be better off without the aggravation and, for a year of bills without usage I may have lost a little more by cancelling but not much. I will never use US Cellular again. Their customer service is not service at all--they appear to be desperate for contracts and their people seem to read scripts regardless of the circumstances presented to them. I was a customer for 10 years. I will never be a customer of theirs agains.

Our NEC 525 gets absolutely no reception in our house, and our Motorola T721 gets very minimal. We'd drop AT&T / Cingular today if it weren't for the 2-year contract and fee!

Cingular coverage is horrible. if you plan on doing business with your phone go to Verizon. you can't hold a phone call for more than 5 min. GSM sucks! if you are in GSM area you still get dropped calls and if your not in GSM your dead..

T-Mobile has very strange reception. Some areas I get 5 bars yet I'll get dropped calls and other days I can have 2 and have no problems. I have noticed that even the weather effects the reception with these guys but you just can't beat the value.

Good coverage, about the same as Cingular, but could be better. But the pre-paid plan is really good and I would recomend over Virgin Mobile, which I use to have but really is bad.

Sometimes the phone is sitting right next to me, and a call will go right to voice mail, without ringing. This is bad if your like me, this is my only phone. I got rid of my land line. I've contacted Verizon several times and they didn't have any answers. I've tried several different phones, with the same results. I even down graded to a chipper, less features phone. Same problem. This has been my only complaint about verizon. PS Verizon told me the towers were within a mile or so, both north and south of my location, so I shouldn't be having a problem. Sounds like they're telling me I'm the problem.

US Cellular in Milwaukee has always giving me great reception. Even in our basement garage where others have asked what carrier I had because they can't get any service while I get at least 3 bars. Sprint was terrible in Milwaukee. Verizon was ok.
