US Cellular

Everywhere I go US Cellular has 4 to 5 bars. Indoors the lowest its been is 3. Though sometimes I get a noisy line. More often in certian areas. Roaming up north is a different story though. In three lakes, WI I had one bar. Phone didn't ring most of the time, straight to VM, and I had trouble making calls. Not us cellulars fault. Overall they got southeast WI well covered.

Overall horrible, everywhere you go placing a call really is hard and doesn't always go through. Also in major areas bad service, and in rual areas same thing bad, then I tried Cingular and I get full bars in my house and everywhere, where Sprint couldn't.

Excellent reception all around the area. In the basement of my 75 year old home I am 5 bars.

Searching system is a common thing to see becuase of the horrible service. Sprint is only ok with a Sprint phone but with Virgin Mobile phones it is even worse. Not having any signal is so common that you won't even want to take your phone with you. So it may look like a good pre-paid option but get Cingular pre-paid much much better.

Even though my phone is a pretty simple model, it works great. I always get 5 bars in the milwaukee and surrounding areas. What I really like is that my phone is both analog and digital. So when I am hunting up north my phone will automatically switch to analog and I can still make and recieve calls, even when my friends with their all digital models cannot. The analog mode drains the battery quicker, but I usually leave the phone off. At least I know that my phone will work if there is ever an emergency. All in all, I am very happy with both the phone and the service. P.S. My girlfriend had T-Mobile and it was the WORST! I can't tell you how much she hated it. They offered her a huge discount just to stay a customer, and she still dropped them.

How do I know that these reports are not made up by the companies themselves? I could just type in that Verizon is the worst and that AT&T is the best. Or is it the other way around?

Cingular is the best carrier I've had. In all parts of the city I have 5 bars and know dropped calls. Cingular you REALLY ROCK!

This is my second Verizon phone and though I love the service, I can't get any reception in my office building. Neither can one of my employees who has a Sprint phone. The only person that can get a signal is the one with Cingular service.

Virgin Mobile runs off of Sprint's network which is actually pretty good. But the phones that Virgin Mobile offers are terrible my friend with a Sprint phone got 3 out of 4 bars and I got 0 to 1 bars. So there isn't really a way to help it, just wait until Virgin Mobile sells a good phones, or just get a plan with Sprint and get a good phone.

T-Mobile is by far the worst carrier, by word of mouth and experience. I have my calls dropped all the time and rarely get over 3 bars of reception.
