Verizon
Many attempts to get Verizon to fix the problem. Not many dropped calls, but too choppy to effectively hold a conversation. Had Verizon for years, and signal strength has definitely deteriorated within the last few years. I don't even bother answering my phone in the house anymore. I wait for voicemail and retrieve with land line. Signal's no better outside either! I wanted them to give me a network extender for free. They said no, that I could buy one or get out of my contract early! They'd rather waive early termination fees and future service on 3 lines than give me a $200 piece of hardware to keep my business? WTF? My most recent attempt to contact them was through a Verizon Wireless Authorized Dealer almost 3 months ago with no response!

Signal fluctuates from 0 to 2 bars, calls drop, cut out, etc etc. I am in the Cheshire Ln area just off of 494 and 394. I know a few with Sprint in the area that do not have any issues.

Have to use a repeater at my house just to get reception inside. VZ slooked into it and says there is just enough service outside but can see why my phone will not work in my home... .Thanks Verizon Wife has Sprint and the reception is perfect.

Spotty at best. Sometimes calls are ok. At other times, and for long periods of time, I get no reception and can't make or receive calls.

Bought an iPhone and basically it is worthless in this area if AT&T is your carrier... We traded our iPhones in for blackberry (s) and discovered it wasn't a phone issue. AT&T is completely inadequate in St. Paul. We had Sprint in this area for 7 years and NEVER had a dropped call and excellent reception. Sadder but wiser.

Very poor reception, if at all, in the Mac-Groveland area. I lived here four years ago and then relocated out of the country and now just returned. I assumed that AT&T would make improvements in the area's coverage over the past four years but sadly that is not the case. This is a major inconvenience since neither my husband or I, or anyone who visits with an AT&T number can reliably receive or maintain phone calls. I've called AT&T and they say we are in a "good" coverage area and they cannot guarantee coverage inside homes. Note that this is a problem even when driving in the area.

Went from good to dismal reception, seemingly overnight. Calls dropped frequently.

A phone is supposed is to make and receive calls primarily. Too bad my doesn't, even at home inside or out. Dropped calls. Long lags in connecting, if it doesn't drop them. Even calling ATT and registering a complaint and following up with them to no avail. Get it right ATT and quit lying about covering 97% of America. You owe me a free 3G Microcell. I just want the service that I pay for and was promised.

I'm able to connect 1 out of every 4 calls. Otherwise, Call Failed. In the Opus business center between Minnetonka, Edina, Hopkins and Eden Prairie. VERY POOR. Never had these issues with Sprint -- in fact, I often have to borrow a colleague's phone to make a call.

Can't take calls in the house... .must sit on the front step to get any reception at all and even then the sound quality is marginal. Making do right now as we're stuck in a 2 year contract but can't imagine we'll be making many phone calls this winter!
