T-Mobile

Excellent reception in my house. Rarely a dropped call. From my experience, T-Mobile works well in almost any area of the Twin Cities (had to switch from AT&T to T-Mobile after moving here).

At best, one bar, if standing in front of the window of the living room on one leg. Had to switch to T-Mobile to get reception in my house.

I've had problems in the past, but Verizon's coverage is perfect now (April 2009).

I seem to get 4 bars almost everywhere I go in St. Paul, and no complaints about coverage on Selby / Chatsworth. Probably once a week I experience a dropped call. Generally pleased with Verizon's coverage and quality (it's just their prices that trouble me).

Verizon has horrible reception in the como area as well as the south boarder of Roseville near Laurpenter. The salesman admitted this is a problem spot for them. I have one spot in my home where I get decent reception. Other friends with new Verizon phones also have the same problem. Friends with Sprint and AT&T at least get bars in my home (even the basement).

Always depicts "Roaming" when I'm not. Constantly varies between decent signal and NO signal. LOTS of dropped calls.

What is with this area? After reading the reviews of the providers, I'm left with the impresssion that St. Paul is doomed re: cell phone reception. In fact, I recently installed a land line, can you believe it? Prior to, I had so much trouble with T Mobile, I broke down and installed their wi fi at home service (extra bucks). Worked for a while, but now my calls are dropping and garbled. Plus, they promised me another tower would be installed Oct 07 (and it never was). I've been through ATT, Verizon, and TMobile--I'm turning into a raving lunatic. Plus, those voice activated services are enough to drive anyone mad. I don't know where to turn! Down with technology!

I get decent service in our house and good service outside in the neighborhood. My boyfriend has Nextel, and he gets awful service in the house, even though our phones supposedly use the same towers.

Terrible reception that cuts in and out. My old Motorola phone from Verizon would at least hold a signal. I had the same problem with ATT as well.

Probably more than 50% of the time I have no bars around campus (even outside sometimes!). T-Mobile might be the worst carrier on campus. Whenever I lose service, I will not get it back unless I restart it in an area that I know I receive service. I usually restart my phone 10-15 times a day. Ridiculous!
