Reception is medicore. Mine seems to do better than most others in the building though, which is nice. Verizon.

Virtually no reception on the hill area of the U of MN St. Paul campus (near the water tower). There seems to be a dead zone that extends from the Borlaug Hall / Ecology Building west to Cleveland Ave extending north to Roselawn. I've used three different model phones all with Sprint service, and all three lose signal in this area. Bad for U of MN students!

If I'm not in exactly the right spot it my home I get no reception. If I'm in a sweet spot I can get up to 4 bars but reception is still spotty - e.g., I often only hear every other word and people on the receiving end complain that I am dropping out. As an addendum-I also get NO reception to speak of on the East Bank at the U of Mn. so both places I am most likely to need my phone, NO, Verizon, I CAN'T hear you now! Can't wait to switch to another carrier. But the service from Verizon has been good in terms of getting a new phone when the first had a major problem and good phone service on billing questions.

Reception is exceptional. My Verizon phone had about 1-2 bars here, with Cingular I was lucky if I got 1 bar, with T-Mobile I always have at least 3, usualy 4 or 5. They are also cheaper then the compitition. I'm loving T-mobile!

We have two phones, the T610 and a T616 that I repurposed from an ATT account. The T610 has only 2 bands, the T616 has 3. Makes a difference where we live. The T610 has poor reception and my wife frequently steps outside to make a call. The T616 has below avg reception -- I can make and receive calls as long as I'm not in the middle of the house. Been thinking about switching to Cingular, but from remarks here it looks like the reception is very poor in our neighborhood. Then again, it could be the phones.

Absolutely ridiculous reception in a major metropolitan area. No bars whatsoever at my home address. My reason for owning a cell phone at all is medical, and it is obvious this company has no desire to improve on the "NETWORK" in our area, consequently my affiliation with Verizon will be curtailed. Verizon is aware of the poor coverage in this area and has offered to allow me to exit my unexpired contract with no cost to me.

I can expect a dropped call every 5 minutes EACH time I make a call from my home. This is getting worse all the time, not better. I will be researching a new carrier.
