The reception is good in most of the airport except the A and B concourses. I have had 4 different phone models and each one is terrible when leaving the C concourse and heading toward and in the A / B concourses, find a window a and pray for a bar or two.

Usually one bar, or two at most. Drops often. Need to change the carrier.

Signal varies along street. Had one dropped call and a few cutouts, but my wife's phone (Motorole E815) works better. Could not connect at all with my old Sprint service.

Cutoffs are common. Sprint not recommended in Uptown.

I feel blessed to still have a TDMA Nokia 6560. Best reception hands down in the metro area and I have the best plan available ($35.99 for 900min and free MtoM). I have a Verizon work phone and my wife has a Cingular GSM and the TDMA is still better even though the technology is fading. Unfortunately, good call reception has gave way to downloading Green Day ringtones. Wireless phone technology is going in the wron direction.

In an area 3 - 4 blocks around this major intersection of a major high end shopping street in an expensive neighborhood full of restored Victorian mansions, Verizon doesn't seem to care about providing decent coverage for its clients. The calls are dropped; I can't hear others; and they can't hear me. Ridiculous.

Absolutely awful coverage in this area. Spotty at best in area bounded by 54th, Penn, Crosstown and Xerxes. Have called it in and Cingular tells me it's at acceptable coverage levels. BS ! I say.

Phone generally works inside my tank of a house (1924 stucco), but call quality is consistently poor. Almost never works inside bldgs. in downtown St. Paul. Driving around the Twin Cities is generally OK.
