Terrible reception in this area. Cingular told me there weren't any towers in the area. This, of course, was after I signed up for two year plan... It's shocking that a major company would have a weak spot like this in the middle of a major city. Don't buy Cingular for this neighborhood! (Longfellow)Was this review helpful to you?
Best Reception I've ever had with anyphone.. I dont know why people complain their Sprint Phones dont work in the City but this is without a doubt the best carrier to have. I calls sound much clearer I have not had a single drop call that was Sprints fault in about 6 months the phone even works in the basemen and my house was built in 1960 so you would expect it to not work very well but it does.. My sister who has Cingular and gets very crappy service. She is soon porting her number to Sprint..Was this review helpful to you?

I live a few blocks south of Grand off of Lexington and have VERY spotty reception in my home and anywhere on my property. Occasionally, I can make and receive calls but some times the signal is completely gone. It tends to get better as I go north or south but for some reason, my house is in a dead spot. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception typically drops as soon as phone is in usage. Frequent dropped calls as well as lagged response from network (ie I hit the end button and takes 20 seconds to end the call). Not to mention the less than intelligent customer service and the "it's not our fault" attitude towards the equipment they endorse. I'm counting the days until my contract expires! Was this review helpful to you?
I've had Sprint PCS service for the past 6 months and get one bar or no reception in my house. I get great reception downtown, and if I go into my backyard I get fine reception, but the front yard and for several blocks south of the house I have no reception. There's also a dead spot on 35E just north of 694, and when trying to cross the river going to Minneapolis on Marshall. I really don't get service in a lot of places, and will probably change carriers. Was this review helpful to you?
Inside my building on the University of Minnesota East Bank campus, I get either little or no reception. It's a complete dead-zone. Other providers have good reception, however. Was this review helpful to you?
Just superb coverage within the Twin Citites metro. Dropped calls are very, very rare with this service in this area. I do have an issue with calls not ringing, and going directly into VM, but I think that is a common issue with my phone, not their network. My only network complaint is that VMs can sometimes not showup on my cell phone for up to 3 hours after they are left during peak usage times. Althought this has not happened to me within the last 6 months, they may have fixed this issue. Signal strength is 4 bars on first floor, 5 bars on second. Was this review helpful to you?
Odd drop in service, of course, right above my house. Literally walk down the block and the signal regains strenght. Months of calling T-Mobile have resulted in nothing- not even a response to a trouble ticket. Heck, I'd have settled for "Yep, there's a drop there. Tough." But the techs never even acknowledged that a complaint had been lodged. Was this review helpful to you?

I consistently get 4 or 5 bars even in my basement, though other equipment I've used (Samsung SGH-X426) gets fewer bars. Dropped calls are very rare. Was this review helpful to you?
West St. Paul is very bad for nearly all providers. Different phone models make a huge difference. My kids get okay service on Nokia and Motorola handsets. Was this review helpful to you?
