In my house the reception is extremely poor. The signal changes from NO reception to 3 bars by moving not only from room to room, but within the same room. I know of oher people that live close by (Garnter and Naper Boulevard) that have the same issues. It is not an issue with the device, as I had the same problems when I had a Sony Ericsson phone. In contrast, my spouses AT&T cell has no issues with either signal strenght or reception. Was this review helpful to you?
We are so sorry that we switched from Verizon where we had better coverage. We get little or no reception downtown (Chicago) and only 1 or 2 bars in Naperville. Most calls have trouble going through. Was this review helpful to you?
I lose calls constantly and most of my calls go into voice message without even ringing. I am near 75th and Washington and I cannot beleive how bad the reception has become. Before Cingular was bought by AT&T I had great service and reliable reception. I am thinking of leaving now that I have reviewed what others are also saying. Was this review helpful to you?
I've seen everything from 4 bars to 0 through the course of a single day. There's usually enough coverage for data, frequently not enough for phone. Was this review helpful to you?
Dropped calls inside my home. Many times I receive a voicemail from a call that never came through because I had no reception at home. Or near the windows. Or even in the driveway. Verizon, don't you think it's about time for a tower in this area, so you can legitimately stand behind your claims of being "America's largest and most reliable network" ?!Was this review helpful to you?
From the intersection of 30 and Cedar to my house you can watch the bars drop off one by one.Was this review helpful to you?
I just came back to the country and used to use US Cellular and I made the unfortunate mistake of switching to T-Mobile. I can't even believe they are considered one of the 'major' carriers! Their signal is very weak in a lot of places around downtown (I constantly get 'network busy' as if it's overloaded by all the offices in the loop) and in the suburbs. I am thinking about trying the Google phone to see if it's my Razr? I really wish I would have stuck with US Cellular when I got back. I had T-Mobile in Germany when I was there... and it was JUST AS BAD in their corporate home country!? I thought that was just because of the mountains and valleys... but apparently not!?Was this review helpful to you?
My backyard opens onto 75th, across the street from the Starbucks on 75th and Naperville / Plainfield road. My phone usually works great, but since moving to this house l lose calls and people complain my voice breaks all the time. Was this review helpful to you?
Verizon in my location is in a dead zone. Majority of the time I cannot get an outgoing signal or, if I get a signal, the person on the other end cannot hear me, or the call drops. Why do I get a signal only some of the time. I complained to Verizon early on and their only suggestion was to download an update to my cell phone, which did nothing. Reception in other Downers Grove locations has dead zones. Have fulfilled my contract and am getting out.Was this review helpful to you?
Phone will ring in the house, but, I need to run outside and answer it in the driveway! So much for any thoughts of eliminating the landline. Was this review helpful to you?
