Toward the end of 2006 Cingular claimed to have updated their network. My reception seems better but there are times I get a bad connection. Bottom line is, it's a cell phone, if you want a perfect call use a land line. ERBWas this review helpful to you?
Spotty reception at best. Not sure if I expect too much. Is wanting it to work in my house too much? That was not sarcasm. Was this review helpful to you?
I've had my cell with Verizon for nearly two years now and never had a problem with dropped calls or reception. Mostly if I lose a call it's because I have a low battery or inside an elevator but otherwise fine from home and work. Which by the way I'm in the southwest suburbs and work right by LaGrange Ave and I55 and reception is just fine. My plan is up for renewal this summer and I'm not going to switch. However, I have noticed that when I talk with people with Cingular I can't hear them well... it's very warbled. I like to think that Cingular sucks but I don't have a problem talking to other cell carriers. Maybe it's the cell phone itself. NOKIA / RAZORs are notorious for sounding like crap. Was this review helpful to you?
Everytime I'm traveling toward 30 on Schoolhouse my Nokia 6101 drops the call when I go under the railroad tracks. Other than that, no problems whatsoever. Was this review helpful to you?
Terrible reception in house and poor reception outside. Although this phone is four years old, newer one year old phones do not work much better in the house. Lot's of dropped calls. Too many to report to Sprint. Will be switching to another carrier since nothing has improved in four years. Was this review helpful to you?
Get 3 bars outside school, but only 1 bar or no service inside all the carriers need to improve this area. Was this review helpful to you?
I always get great reception and literally never drop calls. In my house I get four bars and outside 90% of the time I have five bars and never below that. Was this review helpful to you?
I generally have 4 - 5 bars of reception, until I receive a call. After two or three minutes there's a network failure. T-Mobile can't explain why. This began in September and has been getting worse. Now a number has to be dialed three to four times before the call goes through and you MUST dial the area code each time. Then after two or three minutes the call will drop anyway. They say they have plans to construct another tower in the next 120 days in this area. I guess customers are expected to endure four more months of terrible service. Was this review helpful to you?
Once I switched to a phone that was EVDO capable, almost all my reception issues in the Naperville area disappeared overnight. Previously, I had an older LG that only accepted the 1X digital signal. Have had to hand my phone to Cingular customers in order to let them make a call! Very satisfied. Was this review helpful to you?
T-mobile reception in Old Westgate subdivision in Palos Heights is poor at best and it's common to have dropped calls. I've been told by neighbors that this service deficiency might be compounded by the large number of trees. Was this review helpful to you?
