U.S. Cellular is terrible I cant call in side my hose cause I will lose reception and when I am with my friends I compare what theres is and its so much better than mine. Except I get full bars inside the Chicago Heights movie theater. Was this review helpful to you?
Cingular has run into some issues while bringing the AT&T towers into their network. Reception can go from full bars to "No Service" while standing still. Multiple dropped calls. Had Cell One / Cingular for over 14 yrs. only began having issues late 2005 in their GSM network. Getting cells to "hand off" calls between one another seems to be their biggest issue (doesn't necessarily default to the cell with the best signal during hand-off) I've tried multiple phones from various manufactures... phone can cause results to vary greatly. Was this review helpful to you?
Calls barely last 5 minutes before dropping, loses reception constantly, takes over 2 minutes to dial a call and find a signal. Can not get signal in own house, sometimes outside, but not too often. Was this review helpful to you?
My wife and I both have cell phones using Cingular mine is a v220 and hers is a model I cant recall. Both phones get horrible coverage. Cant even walk around if you get two bars, better stand in place and talk if your lucky. Was this review helpful to you?
Switched to Nextel after years with Verizon Wireless due to great reviews from family and friends. It was ok for a few months, but after Sprint took over, the bills have gone up significantly and reception has gone down. I rarely get reception in my house. I will receive random voicemails hours after they were left. Also, text messaging services are very slow. Friends get my texts days later! Their customer service is pushing incompetence! I told them they were losing a customer at the end of my contract and service rep answered, "too bad for us" in a sarcastic tone. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is generally acceptable but not yet 100%.Reception is much better on this Nokia 'candy bar' than on either LG or Verizon flip phones I've previously owned. No problems by intersection of Archer Ave. and Lemont Road, anywhere along 159th Street, or along Larkin or Route 59 or 53. The worst reception is along Archer near Cog Hill. Was this review helpful to you?
The reception improved in the last year and half but dropped calls are still happening often. Was this review helpful to you?
Nextel was great, the absolute best before the takeover by Sprint... Sprint was never any good they pretty much always sucked and now they are dragging Nextel down to their level... My phone will go from a full signal to no service back to a full signal and so on about a dozen times while sitting on my coffee table, not being touched or moved... I can drive to work in the morning and go into no service on southwest hwy. between 95th and cicero, but come home the same way and have a full signal 2 feet the other side of the yellow line... My guess is Sprints plan is to give the Sprint customers Nextels good towers and give Nextel customers Sprints crappy towers and to con Nextel customers into becoming Sprint customers and to phase out Nextel altogether... As soon as these companies allow cross network two-way I will find a new provider... Sprint can kiss my fat a**, that is pretty much how their customer service attitude is when you call with problems or to complain...Was this review helpful to you?
Multiple complaints with no results. I would never use Cingular again. I have learned that, in Lagrange, you must go outside and point your cell phone antenna toward their antenna on the water tower if you want to complete a call. Dropped calls all the time. Blech! Was this review helpful to you?
All over network my ***. I don't have LD on my land line and can barely have a conversation on my cell phone at home. When is my contract up?Was this review helpful to you?
