Nextel was great, the absolute best before the takeover by Sprint... Sprint was never any good they pretty much always sucked and now they are dragging Nextel down to their level... My phone will go from a full signal to no service back to a full signal and so on about a dozen times while sitting on my coffee table, not being touched or moved... I can drive to work in the morning and go into no service on southwest hwy. between 95th and cicero, but come home the same way and have a full signal 2 feet the other side of the yellow line... My guess is Sprints plan is to give the Sprint customers Nextels good towers and give Nextel customers Sprints crappy towers and to con Nextel customers into becoming Sprint customers and to phase out Nextel altogether... As soon as these companies allow cross network two-way I will find a new provider... Sprint can kiss my fat a**, that is pretty much how their customer service attitude is when you call with problems or to complain...Was this review helpful to you?
Multiple complaints with no results. I would never use Cingular again. I have learned that, in Lagrange, you must go outside and point your cell phone antenna toward their antenna on the water tower if you want to complete a call. Dropped calls all the time. Blech! Was this review helpful to you?
All over network my ***. I don't have LD on my land line and can barely have a conversation on my cell phone at home. When is my contract up?Was this review helpful to you?
Two Miles east of Larkin to Larkin Ave. along I-80 I always get horrible reception. Drop calls there all the time. Was this review helpful to you?
Call reception very poor. Lost calls driving through this zone runs about 50%. If you're looking for dead zones, Cingular GSM outkills Russian Roulette almost three to one.Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint has been great for reception in house. Also, good reception throughout Chicagoland. Was this review helpful to you?
I've never had a problem with U.S. Cellular reception. Was this review helpful to you?
Very poor reception. When people call me at my house I have to call them back on a land lineWas this review helpful to you?
I travel nationwide on buisiness and never have a problem with reception with Verizon. Verizon is more expensive, but they do work almost everywhere in the US. I've talked to people that love a certain provider, then talk to others that hate it. I really believe people have problems with any service providers MOSTLY on their model of phone, phone firmware software updates, service provider roaming updates... Ask your provider how, they are free. If you have problems with reception in your area, try changing your phone right soon after you get it (a couple days) to a different model, or brand. Was this review helpful to you?
