T-Mobile
Poor 4G reception, frequently downgrades to the EDGE network.

Was with U.S. Cell and had no complaints, I really wish they had stayed in Chicago. Switched to T Mobile - worst decision ever. Broke that contract and went with AT&T and have been really happy with my decision. No dropped calls, no missing texts and super FAST data. Been to every corner of this city and have had no connection problems. I even get reception in the elevator at my job! I don't understand all the complaints with At&t. It should be noted, however, I do not have an iPhone (seems AT&T problems are only with apple?) I can honestly say I am as satisfied with my current service and reception as I was with U.S. Cell.

I have been a U.S. cellular customer for at least 10 years. Since being bought out by Sprint I have switched to Verizon. Let me tell you terrible service dropped calls, straight to voice mail and sometimes I can't even place calls. So frustrated I hate that us cellular sold.

Switched from beloved U.S. Cell because I heard they were leaving. After 4 months of dropped calls, no data and missed texts I'm willing to pay the $200 early termination fee just to rid myself of this headache. 98% of the time I cannot make a phone call from within my house, the other 2% I have to sit in a certain position just to make the call and then a few minutes later it drops. Never had a connection problem inside my house with U.S. Cell. When I'm downtown I develop the robot, crackling voice. Internet varies from murderously slow to non existent. I switched to T-Mobile because of the good price for unlimited everything, might as well have burned my money. Will be thrilled when I get rid of this sh!t service.

Ok reception but horrible customer service. They occasionally lose my bill even though I always send it in on time. They shut off my phone for up to a week, then charge me $50 to turn it back on again. It's hard to believe that it takes $50 worth of effort to turn my phone back on. At most, all they do is press one button. Rip off.

This has to be the worst area of cell coverage I have experienced in a while. I get no bars or one. I can not talk on the phone for longer than 5 minutes without dropping the call.

US CELLULAR has refused to address the reception issue in the area. They admit the new office buildings at 294 and Willow Rd. are blocking their cell tower and affecting reception to the residential areas. Calls drop repeatedly both in and out of our homes. In my case, after over 8 months of continued requests for help, they have told me it will cost me $262.00 to get out of my contract! What a joke! I have 5 lines with them and have been a customer for about 8 or 9 years! They should not charge me one penny and in fact, should send me a refund. They are pushing their "Belief" plan - believe what? Do not choose them - you will be sorry. Customer loyalty?

Glenview, IL: The two new office buildings at 294 and Willow Rd. have blocked the cell tower behind them. Reception to our area has been impacted severely and calls drop ALL day long, especially in my own home! I can usually sustain a longer call by standing in my garage with the overhead door open. Soooooooo frustrating! Fix it USCellular. I pay my bill - give me reception!

I have used u.s cellular and T-Mobile for years I cannot vouch for other carriers. As far as dropped calls T-Mobile at this time is very poor and reception cuts in and out constantly.I live in metro chicago and calls always drop. I love T-Mobile and there plans. I also have never had better customer service and they always look above and beyond to help me. 6 years they also let me cancel out of a contract and pay $35 a line disconnect fee to get out of contract instead of $175-300 for what other carriers charge.By far T-Mobile has best customer service..or thats what jd power and associates said after all having been awarded this three years in a row. So no problem with customer service. My problem is reception and I have heard they will no longer be adding towers to improve.Plain and simple..bad reception service and drop calls happen every day... quite frankly yah us cellular had fewer drop calls for me..it was more expensive however and there customer service is poor in all aspects. what I will say is overseas T-Mobile is king and I have never had reception problems. So I would like better service fewer drop calls but seriously every carrier has there problems and for the most part I will stick with T-Mobile for know because they no how to take care of there customers. They have given me 2 new phones over the years..and I have a old plan from 5 years ago... unlimited family plan 3 lines and my bill is $97.00 never more then $100..so I am happy..pros..they take care of you great plans, cons... drop calls and reception..so yah us cellular cannot compare with plans and service..

hands down, the best service I have ever had. been with US Cellular for 4 years and dropped calls are rare if not non-existent. I have the nationwide calling plan so roaming is free: no matter where I go I have no LESS than 3 bars. there is no comparison to T-Mobile and Verizon (my previous carriers), call quality is better and customer service is superb. i'm so excited we're getting new (& better!) phones in november. i say take US Cell up on their offer, try 'em for 30 days - you'll be happy like me!
