Decent service, when all else fails I just revert to Wifi Calling. I mean for the price I knew that service would be worse than AT&T. Overall I can't complain, except for when I am on 3G... like it's 2016 and I'm on 3G in the middle of the city!

Good reception on phone calls. Calls occasionally go to voice mail without phone ringing. Overall good experience both in Chicago and in several cities during travel using GPS and phone.

I have a Verizon jet pack and all day long it has dropped multiple times. Super annoying! You'd think in a big city like Chicago they'd have fabulous coverage. Not impressed... . never had this issue with my jet pack... .

I've been in this building for 6 years. Switched from AT&T because I couldn't get good reception. Went with T-Mobile which really wasn't any better. STUCK with T-Mob because I travel every week out of the country. Service (only use free data and text) is GREAT. I got my friends to switch to T-Mob for the overseas bennies. Now I have no friends! Service in Chicago was always awful but lately it's gotten worse. I'm on 43 floor. West facing windows only. I have spoken with so many reps from T-Mob. All polite. All understanding of my frustration. It's 0400 and I can't sleep. Google took me to this website. Now I'll go back to sleep because for the first time I understand I'm not crazy! My neighbor doesn't have issues. It's probably as one of your reviewers commented about the window location. I have been told I'm too close to the Trump Tower and it's sucking up all the signal. I swear I was told that by an AT&T rep when I wasn't getting good reception. I have the WiFi Cellspot Router from T-Mob and THAT doesn't help. You see the internet is also crap. The ONLY thing good about T-Mobile is their phone employees. They have always been kind even though I've had numerous meltdowns. The store employees are another story. You have to visit several stores to find one who cares about service after the sale. I've ranted enough. I've come to the conclusion that downtown Chicago, high-rise living it's a crap shoot.

Extremely poor reception on T-Mobile throughout Pilsen but 18th street near the Pink line station is absolutely horrible. Dropped calls and almost no data coverage. Calls go straight to voicemail. It's bad in different buildings, on the street, even up high on the train platform. It's been this way for over a year and anyone I ask who has T-Mobile and works or lives in Pilsen also has bad service. I guess TMobile doesn't care about it's customers in this area or they would be addressing the situation.

I switched to Sprint because T-Mobile didn't work in my new office location (no reception) and some people at the office told me Sprint should work fine. Therefore, I switched to Sprint and even save money on my monthly plan due to their promotions. But I already regret it after only two weeks! While the phone usually shows good signal strength (>2 dots on LTE, 4-5 on 3G), the voice quality when making a call is unacceptable. Voice is so choppy that both parties on the call have problems to understand each other. Sprint already replaced my phone - but apparently it is a network issue and not a phone issue. As it is our business phone, it is not acceptable and harms our company's reputation. Also, I place quite some calls to Europe, where I experience the same issues, maybe even more significant. Yesterday I heard the same story from a business partner, that she has similar issues downtown - in or around high rises. I honestly can not understand how Sprint does survive with providing such a poor quality. And a final comment: Using T-Mobile was the better choice, as at least I could use WiFi-Calling in the office as a substitute. And they were at least "honest" enough to show bad signal strengths. While Sprint seem to have plenty of towers but a really bad network underlying. T-Mobile's approach seem to be more "honest" to me...

I decided to use T-Mobile due to their good offers and international call package (unlimited calls to a lot of countries for $15 a month). Unfortunately I had to terminate the contract as I had between zero reception and bad reception in my office (42nd floor, window, facing south) and calls were either dropped, bad quality or not possible at all. Outside of the building or at my home (N State and Grand) the reception was between okay to great, and then the call quality (voice) was close to perfect, even when calling people in Europe. I would switch back immediately if they got the reception issue in my office location fixed (or if we switch our office location)

I use their WiFi on my cell from home and it is very slow, spins around gets stuck or doesn't respond to do anything especially around rush hour and weekends. For those who may not know depending on where you are and where your Windows are in Chicago, the satellite in sky faces southwest. If you can't get reception and don't have window that faces southwest your service will be poor for most companies.

I have had Verizon for 12 years and generally have found coverage good anywhere I have been in the country until I moved to this neighborhood in Chicago
