MetroPCS

I have not had any reception issues using MetroPCS. I have options set to cellular for calls and wi-fi for everything else. Tried using the 4G LTE network option for calling when I first switched to Metro, but I had no patience with the constant connection surfing and dropped calls designed into such a system. I don't save more by using 4G LTE for calls, so I don't suffer it. Decided to keep my life simple. I usually keep the settings the same whether on the go or at home, except to conserve battery.

When I moved into my home, I had 5g I didn't get any service, bars, and a call was impossible. So I called Metro switched back to 4g and I was happy to know my service improved drastically, they also switched me to a closer tower. My data stalls a bit but that doesn't bother me much. I often had trouble streaming so I removed the 5g from my tv / internet service as well. I don't think 5g is ready for us. So if it's not broke I try not to fix it. 4g is alright with me🌹

Called Crickett. No help. Seems like cell towers are less than acceptable no matter who your carrier is.

I just bought the S20+ with 5G and service SUCKS! My 9s+ with 4G was better. With my new phone on T-Mobile no one can hear me and if they do it's every 3rd word even outside. They said they were working on the tower but that was over a month ago. I've had emergencies and couldn't contact anyone! I guess next time they might just find me dead in my home alone since I have NO Service to make 911 calls! T-Mobile needs to put a new tower up on Blue Ridge Blvd.or fix the ones that are in Independence

Got boost mobile. Signal strength sucks. Internet speed extremely slow. Paying 60.00 a month for this crap. Had T- mobile..same thing. Customer service told me to a different location... screw that. If I and others are paying for service then we as customers should get what we pay for.

I am starting to call the Liberty triangle the Bermuda triangle. Any time I pass through it I have to put my iPhone 8+ into airplane mode—and then turn off airplane mode to have it re-establish a signal—because if I do not do that, I will show 2 to 4 bars BUT HAVE NO SERVICE. This feels like user saturation where everybody is fighting for a tower. Where am I? Downtown New York City? Perhaps Liberty, Missouri has expanded faster than cell phone providers can provide for.

Our family switched to MetroPCS because of their very affordable unlimited plan for three or more lines. Unfortunately we are going to have to find another carrier since both my wife and I work in Independence and neither of us get coverage once we walk in the door of our office buildings. I have huge windows in my office and I can only intermittently get a signal with MetroPCS by propping my phone against the window and even then it’s inconsistent. In addition anytime you go north on 291 to cross the Missouri River heading to Liberty your phone call will drop – every. single. time. – and you won’t get a signal pick up until your past Ruth Ewing Road. I have since learned that part of the reason MetroPCS is coverage is so poor is that T-Mobile does not give MetroPCS users access to all of the towers available to T-Mobile. It makes some sense but when T-Mobile lease a space off of another carrier is Tower MetroPCS does not get access to that tower. MetroPCS can only use T-Mobile towers which are few and far between.

What happened Sprint? I use to have 4G LTE all the time with 3 or 4 bars of service on my Iphone 7. Now I get 1 bar LTE occasionally but mostly get 3G or 1X. I have to use WiFi to get service most of the time. Sprint service has fallen off quite a bit.

When I lived in Overland Park I switched from T-moble to Verizon and got stellar reception. Then about 3 years ago I moved up by Worlds Of Fun. I am a mile or so from them and my reception is terrible. I have to drive down the the QT on Parvin Rd.and I-435 to get a decent signal. Going outside my home doesn't improve the signal that I get in my home. I miss the old days of AT&T and land lines. Never dropped a call on a rotary phone... . :-(

Phone doesn't have service indoors must leave outside to make sure I have the best possibility to get calls. Thinking about switching service providers.
