Our family switched to MetroPCS because of their very affordable unlimited plan for three or more lines. Unfortunately we are going to have to find another carrier since both my wife and I work in Independence and neither of us get coverage once we walk in the door of our office buildings. I have huge windows in my office and I can only intermittently get a signal with MetroPCS by propping my phone against the window and even then it’s inconsistent. In addition anytime you go north on 291 to cross the Missouri River heading to Liberty your phone call will drop – every. single. time. – and you won’t get a signal pick up until your past Ruth Ewing Road. I have since learned that part of the reason MetroPCS is coverage is so poor is that T-Mobile does not give MetroPCS users access to all of the towers available to T-Mobile. It makes some sense but when T-Mobile lease a space off of another carrier is Tower MetroPCS does not get access to that tower. MetroPCS can only use T-Mobile towers which are few and far between. Was this review helpful to you?
Never more than two bars. People cannot hear me but I can hear them. Spent 4.5 hours on escalated tech chat with carrier and issue is not resolved. Has gotten worse over last six months. Very frustrating. Was this review helpful to you?
Terrible reception. I have at most two - three bars anywhere in the kansas city metro. Most times I have to be connected to WiFi to make a call from my house on 23rd st in Independence. - one of the busiest streets in the Kansas City area. I bet AT&T would have a major problem if I paid my bill based on how much service I get!Was this review helpful to you?
What happened Sprint? I use to have 4G LTE all the time with 3 or 4 bars of service on my Iphone 7. Now I get 1 bar LTE occasionally but mostly get 3G or 1X. I have to use WiFi to get service most of the time. Sprint service has fallen off quite a bit.Was this review helpful to you?
When I lived in Overland Park I switched from T-moble to Verizon and got stellar reception. Then about 3 years ago I moved up by Worlds Of Fun. I am a mile or so from them and my reception is terrible. I have to drive down the the QT on Parvin Rd.and I-435 to get a decent signal. Going outside my home doesn't improve the signal that I get in my home. I miss the old days of AT&T and land lines. Never dropped a call on a rotary phone... . :-(Was this review helpful to you?
The data connection is slow / non-existent most of the time. My iPhone 7 bounces between 3G-roaming-LTE-1x-nothing... all the time. Texts take forever to send and forget about sending any pics. I have to hold my phone above my head, stand on one foot and touch my nose to get most texts to send. Video? Ha. Such a disappointment for a hometown company. Was this review helpful to you?
I have no cell service at my house at all. I had Verizon and now T-Mobile and it just sucks... . Only way I even get text messages is because my phone will hookup to my home wifi. We need a cell tower closer to us. When my husband had a heart attack and died I couldn't even call an ambulance I had to run to the neighbors and have them call..Was this review helpful to you?
I get great Verizon service outside of the city but within downtown Kansas City the reception is horrible. Sending a single text (no pics) takes several minutes and when on the phone calls drop all the time. I know its not my phone because it works great when I get out of the city. Was this review helpful to you?
I had good service with Cricket then AT&T bought them out and it has been hell. I can't make or receive calls at least half the time. Some customer no-service rep told me to make phone calls on my front porch? At 2AM in the winter? Every time I call customer no-service they tell me a different lie why my phone doesn't work and if I just stick with them for 3 more months it will be cleared up... . this has gone on for 18 months. Was this review helpful to you?
The worst network to ever exist... even behind T-Mobil!Was this review helpful to you?
